About Dmso - Is It Really The Best Carrier?

Hello;
What is your opinion about DMSO? It is recommended to mix it with 3% minoxidil. Any idea about this? Should the odds really be 3% or higher or lower? Thank you for your comments.

Trying DMSO alone is different thing, but why mix with minoxidil, i'm getting horror imaginations.
DMSO is used in
household cleaning products
industrial chemicals
(as solvent or for chemical reactions)
as an extractant in biochemistry and cell biology
used in the study of carbanions
widely used to strip photoresist in TFT-LCD
It also used in biopreservation especially stem cell banking
used in polymerase chain reaction
also used as a cryoprotectant
has been used as a co-solvent to assist absorption of the flavonol glycoside Icariin into the C. elegans nematode worm.
used to induce differentiation of P19 embryonic carcinoma cells into cardiomyocytes and skeletal muscle cells
used as a topical analgesic
used in some transdermal drug delivery systems
used as a solvent for ethylene vinyl alcohol in the Onyx liquid embolic agent
used as a drug vehicle in in vivo and in vitro experiments
etc

so my point is don't underestimate the power of DMSO

the biggest problem is not to ensure the absorption of minoxidil? I think dmso is the most important factor to do this. I think that minoxidil should be reduced from 5% to 2% with dmso alone.
