Ok I thought you were skipping entire weeks, it still doesn't really explain how you could lose so much ground while still taking all that stuff. Almost makes me think your oral finasteride pills might be fake? Did you order them online or get them in a legit local pharmacy?

I get them from stonegate pharmacy. They're legit, my semen is still watery as usual. I've had my hormones tested on them

I was dermawounding at the time and I haven't done that in a while, maybe I should go back to that? I also had a huge acne outbreak on my scalp recently, that must have had something to do with it. I had skipped my meds for a few days at that point, but not a whole week.

Ok, this is quite perplexing then, perhaps someone with more expertise can assess your situation as to how it could have happened. I would not recommend duta as I don't think it will help you too much.

Here is what I would do in your shoes right now:

You have a decent headshape and are a decent looking guy. I think you can pull off the shaved look, you should give it a try. At this point I would not continue with taking those drugs. You have clear skin and if you lost some more weight, got your facial structure more defined, it would help even more.

Keep an open mind with a shaved head, don't jump to any conclusions for at least 3 weeks. Give yourself a chance to see how you like it. If you feel that after that time period it's 100% not for you, then look into temporary smp and saving up for an FUE transplant.

There are some very good temporary smp clinics in Europe, look them up. You will want to save up money for a FUE transplant so that you can rock a buzzed FUE+SMP look. The FUE will help add the slightest bit of texture to your head and improve the overall look. You also don't want to get the smp too dense. Ask the clinic to make it lighter/thinner. Remember, you don't want to fool anyone that you have a full head of hair and are shaving by choice. The smp will fail with that illusion. But, done right, it can significantly boost things.

These are my two cents and I understand it isn't an easy decision, but in my opinion it's the best option you have right now.

if you don't mind me asking you that , did your wrinkles/ facial aging / upper eyelid pufiness improved? Just browsed one of your old thread about min and collagen degradation and it seems you're still using it so i'm curious to know if the situation got better. thanks

After wallowing in my own self-pity for a good 2 hours I have came up with a plan. Since the gyms are all closed I am going to embark on an aggressive fasting, cardio and body weight workout routine to get my weight down. In the meantime I will make my routine the focus of my life. Pills every morning, concoction of latanprost/retinA/topical fina/minoxidil every morning, shower with head and shoulders followed by ket cream, and 5% minoxidil foam at night. 1x weekly derma wounding and rosemary topically before bed. In one month I shall report back here and if improvement is not apparent, or the situation has deteriorated, I shall shave. Hopefully my reduced bodyfat percentage will make the shave more palatable.

I would buzz it. Thats better than thin wispy strands, or a full shave.

OP would you say you maintained on finasteride?

I thought I had, but these recent pics are making it look like I lost ground. What do you think?

Holy sh*t dude you're right I have lost ground (left is then, right is now). It's game over for me
If the photo on the left is when you started finasteride and the right one is now (with taking ORAL finasteride religiously) then yes, you have lost alot of ground, which is a rare sight honestly.
Either shave it or go extreme route. A hair transplant cannot fill a NW6 area. But as others have said, the bald look might suit you.

The photo on the left is one year ago about 1.5 years into fina. The photo on the right is now. I am going to make sure I religiously stick to my routine and revisit the question in a month. If any of you guys know or remember Georgie, she pointed out to me when I showed her the pics that little black dots are still all over, so the hairs might still be there and growing either due to a shed or the way I cut them. If I don't look like the photo on the right again by May 14-15 I'll come off of the drugs and shave my head.

Stay on treatments, keep it buzzed clean for now but with around 2500/3000 grafts and smp, you could be good to go.If you come off treatments you will only have smp as an option not the transplant.

You think the treatments will make a difference at this point? He pretty much looks like he's Norwood 6 or 7 already.

I don't think his FUE yield will change much if he stays on them or not.
