Acetyl L Carnitine- good or bad for hair loss?

Hi All, Can anyone help determine whether Acetyl L Carnitine as a supplement causes hair loss, or helps reduce hair loss? I'm reading both on the web and am somewhat confused. I do take the supplement sometimes (not specifically for that reason) and would like to make sure I'm not being counterproductive, thanks.........

Where have you read about carnitine (alcar) causing hair loss? I ask because that was my experience with alcar, however, I never read anyone else reporting. Anyway. I looked back but couldn't find the threads I had seen, there were a couple people who claimed they suspected it as causing hair loss but it was all rather vague. I've never had any hairloss problem but recently started experiencing some. But I've been taking a number of supplements, that was one I had started some months ago trying to figure out if anything would contribute to it. Acetyl L carnitine is awesome for hair. Drink it eat it. apply it. masturbate with it. snore it. inject it.
