Adding Dutasteride after being on Rogaine 2 years

I started Rogaine foam a little over two years ago. I had great results and slowly the results wore off. I also in February 2012 started applying only once a day then started twice a day again October 2012. I added dutasteride every third day a little over a month ago. I plan on upping it to every other day here soon. Can I expect to see any regrowth. Most of my hairloss has been since i lowered my rogaine application last february.

Why you have decided to go for dutasteride? I think it would be wiser to try finasteride first and see if it works.

You mean a pimple on your nose? LOL Well, that's a very serious side effect. And what about swollen eyes and bloated face? You certainly got them! Wait... that's listed on the leaflet to minoxidil, not to finasteride. Next time I must read the leaflet more carefully, otherwise I won't know, what side effect I should get. LOL

NOW SERIOUSLY: The combination of minoxidil with 5-alpha blockers is very effective. But you should have measured your DHT levels at first. In any case, you should monitor your hormones. Optimally, your DHT should be below 20 ng/dl.

First time i tried finasteride, i had never even heard of the side effects. my doctor prescribed it and i just started popping 1mg tabs. i couldnt figure out what was wrong with me. i was having trouble staying hard and had nipple pain. i stopped finasteride after 3 months only bc i was paying for name brand and couldnt afford it. fast forward a year later after reading about it on this site i tried it in a lower dose and got the same ones.. now i am on .5 dutasteride every 3rd day and no side effects. at 5 weeks now.
