Advice needed for regimen

Hi all,

I've been using finasteride for over 6 months now. I have ministurised hair at my hair line. But I have lots of hair still because I'm 22 and catched it early. My dad is bald and my brother is diffuse thinning. Is finasteride enough to keep my hairline and if so for how long?

I thought about using minoxidil and/or spironolactone s5. Which one is better for my case? Or should I use both? I'm scared of using minoxidil because I have read cases where it makes the skin older. How reliable are these reports? Also, can you style your hair because I read s5 makes your hair look greasy and messy?

Thanks in advance!

Do you mean to say that after six months of finasteride your hairline has miniaturized or that new, miniature hairs have sprouted?
That is a very good question. I don't know. I did not inspect my hairline before taking finasteride. I took it because I was shedding a lot.

I searched my a** off today since I got no reply here. I'm happy with the hair I have now, so I don't think minoxidil is worth the risk of bad skin because it is for more growth which I don't need because I'm satisfied with what I have now and propecia and nizoral should maintain my hair for a very long time. Is there a flaw in this statement?

To be sure though, I would add spironolactone s5 to the regimen. Is it possible to put it in hair where it is pretty thick and like 5 cm long? Does it get to the scalp? And do I have to use it indefinitely because the follicles will be dependant on it?

looking forward to some help.
