Hey all,
As usual sorry if my english is bad..it is not my mother tongue.
secondly,I have been on propecia for 4 years, and it was really very efficient(I put my success story here after 1 year and 5 months of usage),but lately it is loosing its efficiency to a big degree.
I am thinking about avodart, but I am hesitant, because of the contradictory info present in the hairloss forums.
Do you advice me to use it???and if yes how should I use it?(dosage and frequency).
Please guys your help is very critical and really appreciated,I am really in need for an answer to take me from this confusion.
thank you in forward.

I take dutasteride .5mg ED and finasteride EOD. The only reason I take finasteride EOD is because I had some left over when I started dutasteride and I am unsure how long it will take dutasteride to work effectively. I switched to dutasteride because finasteride wasn't working at all. If 1mg finasteride is no longer working then switching to dutasteride may be a good option for you but it is definitely more expensive than finasteride.

Im taking dutasteride 0,5 ED. I was on finasteride first but it didint work at all...
Got some regrowth on dutasteride that lasted a half year but now im shedding again.
Side effects: little pointy nipples, ball ache, weird dreams, but it all stopped after first month . I have no side effects nowdays. NONE.

So.. if finasteride isn't working for you and you are not afraid of possible side effects then go for it. I myself wish i would've started dutasteride way earlier but i read too much horror stories in here..
You can try it for couple months/weeks and decide if you get side effects or if it works for you. Then if you decide that it's too risky or not worth it just stop. Everything should go back to normal after you stop it.

I started 0,5mg every 3rd day and after a month i increased it to every other day and after some time i started using it everyday. You should start it little by little so your body can adapts better and you avoid side effects.

This is my just my experience and opinion so think wisely and make your OWN choice.
Hope it helps :) ask more if u want.

I have. I had crazy oily scalp when on finasteride but somehow after starting dutasteride it decreased.
