Hello, im 28 i just started using proscar 2 nights ago, cut the pills as best as i can into 1/4th anyways my question is the side effects specifically sexual.

Last night i was with a girl and anyways long story short i had some problems getting and keeping it hard, i never had this issue before in my life one thing i might mention is i was on various recreational drugs at the time so i cant say for sure what caused this but im wondering can the pill already display sexual side effects after 1-2 days of taking it??

I will be getting the foam in a few days and i have already started using Nizoral Shampoo so hopefully i can get some results with these products if i have to ditch the pills

Thanks

im not sure about that myself but i doubt it could affect you this fast sounds like you have started taking finasteride knowing the possible sides & maybe paranoid about the sexual affects it could have & this stopped you from "performing"... its all in your mind.

I got the sexual side effects (very weak libido, softer erections, less sensivity) from day 2. Hasn't got any better after 4 months.

no sides here either. i believe a lot of is mental. drugs or no drugs, if you start thinking about it, you're just going psych yourself out.

I'm not an expert like some of the brains on here, but I say.... Ride it out! If it's the meds, your hormones are just screwy right now, but they will stabilize. I've been on propecia for 10 years and unless I wasn't aware of it when I started, I don't think it affected me and didn't notice anything. Everyone is different, but I'm sure you'll be fine. Much of it could just be you worrying about side effects, the hair thing in general, etc. You really can't know. I'll bet that a lot of people complaining about the side effects on here are really just letting their worry about the side effects take over their woodies..... but that's just my hunch.

Though I've had fluctuations in my libido over the years, I can safely say that all in all.... I've been the typical hornball most men are. The same is true for all my friends/family on the meds. Put it out of your mind, let your body stabilize and then reassess in a few months. The one thing I know..... the mind can be powerful. If you're stressed, worried, etc, it can affect your libido. I don't want to sound too certain that it isn't affecting you but I bet come spring, you'll get spring fever like you always do.

The only thing I can say that has happened to me in regards to side effects is MILD and quite dealable testicle pain from time to time but i'm not dying over it.

Good luck.
