Howdy!

Looking for comments on my regimen.
I am 35 and have been shedding for 2 years now.
I'd say I am a 2V with a decent hairline, but am thinning
and the hairs are getting thin as well.

Current regimine:

Multivite/Multimineral 2X day
Fish/Flax/Borage Oil Caps 1X day
Hair/Nail/Skin Vite with MSM 2X day
nizoral 1% 2-3X per wk for the last 15 years
Nioxin 1-2X per week

Proposed regimine:

Multivite/Multimineral 2X day
Fish/Flax/Borage Oil Caps 1X day
Hair/Nail/Skin Vite with MSM 2X day
nizoral 1% 2-3X per wk
Additions:
Nano Shampoo 2-3X per wk
Folligen Spray 2X day

I tried minoxidil for a year and had regrowth, but my scalp was red as a tomato and I had some bad seb derm, so I thought the Nano would be a good idea.

Thanks!

Nizoral and Folligen will not stop not slow (noticeably) the onset of male pattern baldness.

i would recommend finasteride, but i'm assuming you are adverse to potential side effects. minoxidil is working well for me, and you may be able to treat the redness and seb derm with t-gel, t-sal, or something else. if you want the most popular/highest chance to work regimen, go to a derm and let him know you want to use minoxidil and what to do to prevent it from irritating your scalp. also i recommend finasteride, as it appears to be the most proven, (can't say if it's helped me or not yet), but it's all up to you

Thanks guys!

I know finasteride is the best choice, but I am truly freaked out with the horror stories. I might go with Dr. Lee's minoxidil without the PPG if the Nano doesn't seem to help.

Your proposed additions certainly won't hurt you - and they may indeed help. It's my opinion though that they both lack the "ooomph" you're looking for.

You're a 2 (bastard :) - so you have some time to experiment. Who knows - you might get lucky. They are both great products. Maybe alternate the folligen w/ tricomin next time you need a bottle. Give it 4 - 6 months on the new routine and see.

Ever hear of ZIX? That might be a safe and inexpensive addition for you too.

Yeah I think I stayed a 2 from using nizoral for the past 15 years on my face and head. Too bad I had to suffer from skin conditions in the process though, but I still have some hair. lol

My hair sure has been going quick the past 2 years though and especially the past year. :(
