Aesthetic Risks Of Hair Transplant (buzzcut Haircut)

Hello guys,

I'm considering having a hair transplant soon. Obviously I don't expect to get back my hair from childhood. Moreover, I actually rock the buzz cut look and want to always keep my hair very short. In that case, what are the aesthetic risks of a "bad" hair transplant? What exactly could look unnatural if I always keep my hair short?

I'm asking this because currently my situation is not so bad. My hair is just very thin so one can tell that I'm balding but I still have some hair and when I shave it it looks ok, not full but ok. So I'm considering the risks. I know that sometimes a hair transplant can look unnatural in a sense that the new hair looks synthetic. But if I keep my hair very short, doesn't it almost guarantee that it will look better after the hair transplant?

Thanks in advance,
George

Hey guys now I'm reading that actually it's on the contrary and having buzz cut after fue is even riskier in terms of natural look? I would like to stress that I shave at 3 or 4 militers, not 0.
What do you think? Is this a dangerous path? Should I give up on hair transplant?
Thanks

if you rock a buzzcut look, just have a scalp micropigmentation to fill in where ever you need it and to fill in your hairline

you can't go to anyone who does it of course, there are great providers who make it look very natural

Hey Bryan, thanks
Do you mean you recommend going for Smp instead of hair transplant?
The thing is smp is shorter than 3-4mm haircut. It's still a good idea altough I go to the beach a lot so there is that problem.

But I'm more interested to know if I can shave to 3mm after a fue and what are the odds that scars will show or that it won't look natural.

Thanks in advance

Well how much of hairloss do you need filling in? About the scars after FUE I wouldn’t know

Don’t listen to randoms, that guy has no clue. SMP is permanent and hard to maintain, you will need frequent visits to the clinic and they have to be good at it, most aren’t. As for the FUE scars, depends on your own self and how it closes scars on that area. Generally, nobody has tendency for hypertrophic scars there but some heal worse than others. Doctor and punch will play their part as well as your recovery phase. The best thing to do is opt for a skilled surgeon and have a hair transplant for buzz cut, one that is aimed for short hair with greater area of coverage and minimizing scarring as much as possible (so he will harvest donor site carefully, splitting etc). Lorenzo and Erdogan are two choices. Once and only once that is done, you can think about SMP but it’s still not worth the money and time.

Randomns? you just joined last month lol... and i do have a clue, i got it done and know ppl that got it done... i got mine done in one of the best clinics in the country, in NY ( best known artists) ....Also....SMP will be cheaper, 3 or 4 sessions max... and you wont have to worry bout sh*t til a touch up in maybe 3 or 4 or 5 years depending how u take care of it from the sun... the only thing youll have to do is shave or buzzcut every 2 or 3 days depending how fast your hair grows.

If your hair looks fine with a buzz cut and you are happy with the way you look then don't bother with a hair transplant. There is a psychological aspect with getting hair transplants along with the pain/ numbness/embarrassment/cost, if you don't like the new look then you are stuck with it. This applies especially with new hair lines.

FUEs should not leave visible scars if you buzz down to 3mm only 0mm. But if you want to keep and maybe improve your hair then low dose Finasteride (quarter 1mg pill daily) would do.

Hey guys thanks a lot for all of your answers. In the end I decided to go with smp until my balding gets worse, in the mean time I take Propesia. I has my first smp session, there is an improvement and it looks natural but still not satiafieing so I will go for another one in a few days.
Will post pics after
Thanks

where did you have it done, you have to be careful choosing providers... some have more skills than other, making it look natural and imitating your follicles better. others make the SMP look too dark, unconsistent, un natural hairlines

Bryant, I have it done in Israel. I totally agree with you that I should be careful. at the moment it looks very natural, just not full enough, I would say that it improves my look in 30% maybe. So I contacted the guy and he promised me I can pay the rest only when it looks perfect.
I agree with you that it could look fake, so I'll probably settle for less than a perfect "full" look.

As for the hairline, he barely improved it so I cannot tell
