After A Year Of Minoxidil Use And Imlprovement..wtf?

I've been using Kirkland brand minoxidil 5% liquid for about a year now, with more than satisfactory results. However in the last month my entire theater area looks as if it's lost about 30% of the hair. Is this normal? Have I grown immune? Am I possibly using too much? Could it be interference with a product?

Lot of users claiming that the drug loses efficient ,including me that I am 8 months in it and now the things going reversely , minoxidil is a great solution but as all we know is not the greatest one ,possibly you have grown immune or maybe it’s a shedding all the way because minoxidil make various of sheds, but I think that the first one is more close as I am having the same been 8 months on it

Minoxdil increases blood flow to follicles, helping the hair stay in the anagen growth phase longer, but sooner or later even the healthiest hair will shed. When it does minoxdil can't help you much. DHT takes over and miniaturization can set in. A new cycle will begin but the follicle will produce a shorter thinner hair and the anagen phase will be shorter.

Finasteride can block dht and keep miniaturization from happening, if you respond to it.

It's funny you should say that because looking at older posts, I've seen a lot of people saying its effectiveness wore off after 8-9 months, including myself. In the last month my temples and crown have started to thin out again after 8 months of use and I'm also on Finasteride.

I didn’t say something different , exactly minoxidil loses the strength , I am thinning again also , now kinda makes me worrying that you take finasteride and the results are not getting better like you saying , for how long are you taking the drug ?

Could it be a product? I had recently tried using some new leavev8n conditioner and argon oil regimen. I also recently stopped. A friend suggested that perhapse the conditioners caused a barrier and the minoxidil was no longer present on my scalp. And that when I stopped using it the minoxidil was reintroduced and started me back to square 1? Or could it be that all this time I wasn't properly using it. In truth I never experienced a shed like this, nowhere near this magnitude, or this fast. Should I increase, or simply just continue?
