No I've not tried that, I doubt its effectiveness and it costs a small fortune so it's out of my budget. I want to try a topical anti androgen, probably in 2 - 3 months. If that doesn't work I'm afraid the hair loss fight may end in a loss for me.. Unless new treatments come out soon, which they probably won't :(

Jesus... your shedding is likely from oral minoxidil and your hair hasn’t changed at all.

You should really challenge yourself to stop paying attention to shedding and to simply compare your pictures every 3 months for actual changes to your hair. I think your mental health will thank you

I think it's the Minoxidil causing the sporadic shedding.

Replicel would be champion within your current regime if it release as expected. You need something that can carry the beneficial role of Minoxidil, so that you can discontinue. I believe it's going to keep causing you to shed; perhaps you're at a threshold barely fending off aggressive androgenetic alopecia.
I think its the minoxidil too. The first brand I used was amazing, great results. I had to change it though due to change with the supplier and the new brand was crap, I shed and shed for many many months! I'm now drinking Kirkland's so I hope that will fix this shed soon... If you asked me if I thought I had aggressive male pattern baldness before I started treatments I would have said no. Since starting treatments I've lost more hair in 22 months than I did with 5 years of hair loss treatment free. Its completely bizarre!

I have lost ground behind the hairline, its a lot thinner than it used to be and I need concealer or I can't have my current hairstyle without the recession and thinning showing. I agree though I shouldn't pay attention to the shedding, but its hard.

I do not trust your analysis of your hair. You are not objective secondary to your anxiety... Post pictures and let the forum decide

He could easily have just a mature hairline... rogaine isn’t worth it at all right now

This is the very thing that makes me reluctant to consume finasteride. It's almost as though androgenetic alopecia ramps up the moment you try to contest against it; natural a**h** for sure.

I've posted loads of pictures on here, but I'll do it again.. The first 3 are from August 2017. The next 3 are from a few weeks ago. I should also add that the first 3 were just before my shed began, you can see I've lost a chunk of my hairline since then and temples have retracted back further.

i live in the uk is it possible for the doctor to analyse your hair to see if you do actually suffer from male pattern baldness..i also agree even if i was badly balding i wouldnt choose to take pills i would just buzz it

I remember looking for someone to do microscopic analysis to me... could never find one.

I take propecia with 0 sides... if you’re post pubertal and balding it’s a fine choice. But it’s up to you

You should book an appointment to see a dermatologist, doctors don't know much, if anything about hair loss. When I went to my doctor about it he said I was not balding, but I persisted and got an appointment to see an actual Dermatologist who confirmed I did have male pattern baldness and diagnosed me as a Norwood 2. He got me a 6 month supply of PROPECIA for FREE. It was great, shame it didn't work though.

yeah just had a look online its quite deer that propecia stuff.. i dont think my family can afford it so i might just have to go with the shaving option *if* my balding gets significantly worse in the next few years
however i will try and get a dermatologist to have a look
thanks for the great advice guys ..

Yes you may have very slightly receeded in one year... it still looks great and you aren’t even quite nw2. Ive seen your other pictures and your hairline is now stable... you should calm down and continue to monitor

Oh and you should drop cpa...

My hairline is definitely not stable. CPA is the only thing I've took which may actually be slowing down my balding. Not everyone is as lucky as you to get by with just finasteride.

Whatever you say man... and no one should take cpa for hairloss.

And I’ve been on propecia 8 weeks, who knows if it’s working

I don't want to be taking CPA, but if I want a shot at keeping my hair then its an option I have to try. I've even tried a combo of topical and oral Estrogen and that didn't stop my hair loss either.
