Am aged 26...Recently I feel like my frontal area has become thin and hairline seems receding.... I even went to the extreme of taking a hair strand sample from top of head and back of head to compare their thickness... But the hair on frontal region is just 2/3rd the thickness compared to the hair on back of head... This is worrying me a lot...as far as genetics goes, my dad is 52 yrs and norwood 2...my father's big brother went bald before 35 yrs.... But there is no baldness on my maternal side.... My grandpa(mom's dad) had full head of hair even at age 78.....am posting some pics.... Kindly give your opinion about my hairline and what norwood am I in????

cant vote for receding or maturing because neither are happening atm.....great head of hair.

i know parents by default don't want to hurt your feelings but in this case they are correct you are wrong and not suffering from male pattern baldness.

Feel the hair of entire head with fingers ,if you find top and from hair thinner than sides and backnof hair then your are balding .but from photos I think it is early baldness going on.

you're really trying to convince yourself that you're going bald......ignore some comments on here....if a 21 year old elvis presley came on this site people would say he had early signs of male pattern baldness,it's possible you could go bald in the future,like it is with everyone on planet earth but at 26 with no sign of hairloss this is a good sign.I feel the front and top hair to be thin comparatively...
