Does drinking alocohol once every 2 - 3 weeks while one is taking propecia & min have some side effects?

I have great results on finasteride and nizoral and have been drinking on weekends since I started. I would say lately I have cut back, but that is so I can drop some fat for the summer.

douggie how long have you been on finasteride and nizoral for? what have you seen in terms of shedding/regrowth etc? thanks

I posted my 9 mos update below. Shed pretty badly at around 7 mos, but never really put a dent in my hair. Hair is far better now than before starting. I have been on nizoral for 15 months and finasteride for almost 10.

douggie - thanks i read it again. did you drop below baseline at any time during treatment?

rom3 - when i went to belgravia trichological centre, they told me alcohol has no effect on propecias effectiveness. i think this makes sense. the only difference it might make is absorption into the bloodstream (alcohol causes some thinning of the blood). but still, just take finasteride when you wake up, or are sober and there should be no problem.

Yes, I dropped well below baseline at around 6 months which was odd because I wasn't shedding then, I guess it was taking a while for the original shed hairs to come back or maybe it has to do with the normal shed cycle. This was why I waited to post my results, so I didn't freak anyone out of using it.
