All 5mg Oral Minoxidil Users, Please Read

Hows everyone going with their oral minoxidil regimens?

Great! Nearly 5th month now, I must say from month 4-5 My hair all over is unbelievably thick!

no derelict, I’m using 15mg. I know your against high dosages of Loniten but I really feel the jump from 10-15mg has helped a lot,

Hairline has lots of hairs coming through, the little black ones have gotten slightly longer now

No, the first month I started taking 5mg Loniten my heart was out of control, sometimes I couldn’t sleep because of it. That passed. I have taken 10mg and 15mg with no side effects. (Except increased body hair)

Side note - makes dick hard af when you take it 15 mins before sex. Seriously!!

Im not actually that against high dosages of oral min, i have been thinking of upping my dosage to 10mg and give it a while since im still not satisfied with my recovery from the letrozole shed i got, i stopped it in march and my crown state still upsets me. Im cautious about it though and would never use 20mg or anything like that again like i did for a while, im glad you are responding well to oral min.

I think oral minoxidil is extremely overrated

7 months at 5mg per day and 0 results, hair is thinner than ever. I didn't even thought it was possible to losing hair that fast

I am adding topical minoxidil and microneedling. Will see what happens

But imo don't think oral minoxidil is a nuclear weapon for mbp, on this forum the positives experiences with this medication are rather low..

Up your dosage? Are you suppressing dht?

I made a mistake, iam not at 7 months but at 10 months on oral minoxidil . And I already took 10-15mg a day for 4 or 5 months. Did absolutely nothing.

i can't take anti androgen since i have already very low testosterone levels (around 300ng/dl or 11nmol/L, this is the testosterone level of a 80-90 years old man. ). I have high estrogen level for a male as well. So finasteride basically just makes me asexual and extremely depressed.

I am 21 years old btw

Thats rough bro. So sh*t that T is linked to DHT. Literally the thing that makes you a man has an impact on your hair. I think taking finasteride or dutasteride always the first step to stop hair loss. minoxidil more a 2nd line to make the hair youve kept thicker. You tried dutasteride?

I am on 5mg daily (1x5mg) since December 2019. It does not work at all for me, seriously. I lost muchh hair since December, it's scary. I am an heavy diffuser. So please don't think it's a miracle treatment on its own for male pattern baldness, it's clearly not without finasteride or dutasteride. It's either cut your balls (finasteride's job) or lose your hair. Cruel world.

Eyebrows and eyelashes are thicker and longer, beard is fuller. I can see obvious collagen destruction on feet and hands (very deep wrinkles) and slight face collagen destruction in the eye area

I will soon add microneedling, but i don't think it will change anything

Oral minoxidil is so useless for me that iam thinking about adding topical minoxidil... Who knows..

It’s horrible isn’t it the collagen affects.. I hate it because I know it would work great for me with micro needling, although I have not tried oral, I’m guessing it would be the same as topical.. then again it could be the alcohol making my skin worse..

I never had any sort of skin aging effects on topical or oral, if you are worried about the health of your skin stick to collagen supplements like 2 or 3 grams a day, 2g MSM+vit c and retin a.
