i am in same siatuation as you waynwako,a year ago i use to complain,but now i wish i could go back 12 months earlier,my worst thing is that i applied minoxidil 5% in area where i had good density,i stopped it and now evrything is gone or thinning,
exept the frontal line area where i never applied anything

now i amgoing to start eucapil and RU but since i will be travelling(by car) everyday,i am not sure if i can keep the solution ready made for at least 2 weeks a month
i still hope i cna reverse things as hair are still there but very thin to the point they cant stand

Am awaiting a reply from El_dut on this one so I thought I could throw this Q to others here..

I have 2 boxes of fluridil and they have the ingredients Isoprophly alcohol, Grape seed oil and Fluridil.

So is Iso alcohol a good replacement for ethanol when mixing RU. Has anyone tried it and had any adverse reactions...

you could try to dissolve a bit of RU (20mg) into one ampule of fluridil since it moslty has alcohol in it. i use 192 proof alcohol found in liquor stores, which is pretty cheap too. don't really need PG and avoid glycerin.

no one can really answer your question.

el_dut has the most experience with RU and he says it works best when making fresh batches everyday.

However I have heard of some people making 1 month supplys because like you they were travelling for 1 month and had no ther choice. They said it worked fine and they didnt notice a decrease in results.

So the only way to know would be to try it.

I used to make 2 weeks supplies in a a 60ml bottles that I always kept in the fridge (~2c).

I am pretty sure that the applictions towards the end of the bottle were less effective than at first, although it still had some effect because I was using a lot of RU powder. RU degrades in a lotion, it is not going to loose its effectiveness completely but it will be less effective

Its like preparing coffee in a thermos bottle for a month and drinking it after a few weeks- its still going to be coffee but a lot worse than the freshly made coffee.

Its not hard to prepare 30 small doses of 20mg, at home, using small sheets of thick aluminium foil (20microns).

take your small doses on a trip. then you just pour it into a small 5ml bottle, fill it with some alcohol, shake it and after 3 minutes it is dissolved and ready to apply..just like making fresh coffee every day.

Unless you are checked by the border police and they question you on the white powder in those doses - that could be an issue if they suspect cocaine etc..and they might confiscate it.

Making fresh batches everyday allows you to use much lower amounts of RU, which is safer long term, does guarantee a constant effectiveness, and lower your costs significantly.

I was hoping you could answer yet another question. I have pretty good coverage on top, but it's quite thin(considerably thinner than on the sides). Would you suggest trying RU to thicken? I'm already using the Big 3. Would you say RU is best for maintaining, thickening, or re-growing? I realize this might be different for every individual, but Im having difficulties finding something/anything to add to my regimen that will help me with thickening.

Also, do you still live in overseas, or are you in the states? How tough is it to get some RU shipped to the US?

RU is by far the most effective anti-androgen that can be used without androgenic side effects.
It blocks DHT and Testosterone from affecting your hair follicles. But it is "just" an anti-androgen, which is in a way like having the effects on hair of cutting your balls off today..without those effects on the rest of the body.

Will cutting your balls off regrow your hair ? all the studies on castrated men have shown that that most of the lost hair will not regrow.

Therefore RU will benefit mostly people that still have have hair and want to maintain/thicken existing hair.It work very well at thickening existing hair.

Shipping from China to the US is not a problem.I am not in the US but I did travel to the US with it and they let me keep it. This is not an illegal substance.

duterino i saw your picture you still have good density there,do you think for a diffuse thinner who still is producing hair....CAN regain a good density?
also if i understand well you wont shed much like on fina or duta,

i lost 60% of my hair in 12 months due to applying minoxidil there,i still have hair but very weak that they can't stand
vertex is bald with a 7cm bald spot with velus hair.

i wish i went on a topical AA instead of minoxidil,i also took duta for 4 months and started seeing new small hair around hairline but it still had good density

El_duterino, you feel that with RU most of the hair will not regrow but remaining hair will thicken.

I am a diffused thinner, things never changed and became a lot worse after quitting minoxidil a year ago. I still have hair all over although its dffused evenly and the hairline has receded.

So my batch of RU will arrive next week. If El_dut could tell me what topical regrowth regimen should I combine with RU to get optimum results. I need reqgrwoth badly as I have thinned out a lot and from what El_dut is saying RU won't do much for regrowth....

P.S- I will be cutting down on finasteride to 0.5 mg per day from 1.25 mg which i have been taking for 20 months now.

Well, I think you already know the answer but there are no drugs currently available that can really regrow new hair shafts on bald areas, if this is what you call regrowth.

If you have very thin existing hair shafts, RU might be able to thicken those back to normal and from a distance it will appear as you have "regrowth"

RU (and other anti-androgens) work ON HAIR - you need hair to see results.

I was going to suggest maybe trying minoxidil in combination with RU, which has shown some additional positive results compared to using RU alone in one study.

It is also a good move to keep using finasteride at lower dosages. the kind of levels where you are comfortable with the side effects/libido etc..- a bit less DHT will help RU to compete with DHT better.

I think I had hyper or reflex hyper andro after going on finasteride.

I started with minoxidil and was shedding quite a bit and then 6 mths later when I started finasteride I started shedding all over (sides and back too). I stuck on with it for 20 months and in the past 4-5 months the shed along hairline/back/sides has gone to almost 0.

But no regrowth or thickening of hair while on finasteride, it just got progressively worse. SO i plant o add RU and then after a month minoxidil foam. First time around with minoxidil I had severe headaches and dark circles. But i think I was just foolish listening to people who said apply it on damp hair soon after a shower.....

Should we expect the same timeline for something like RU to see effects? Something in the 6 month to a year range?

I can't recall how long you mentioned it was until you saw any "measurable" difference from RU application.

You mentioned that RU would be comprable to a potent dosage of finasteride, but without the sides. I'm hoping this means I will be able to atleast reduce my finasteride intake, but continue to see thickening thru usage of RU.
