Alternatives to Nizoral?

Hello everyone!
So I'm pretty much putting together a regime for the first time here, and I'm looking for some advice about which shampoo to try.

I've read enough at this point to know that Nizoral is the obvious choice, but due to it being hard to find right now I really wanna know the best alternative. I may be wrong but it looks like Revita is basically the same thing (?), however I don't see a lot of people talking about it.

Revivogen would be next on the list, however I've heard it's best used in conjunction with Nizoral rather than as a replacement.

Right now all I'm taking is topical generic minoxidil twice a day...so what's my best option? Any advice is greatly appreciated : )

I was just checking out Perfect Image brand Ketoconazole shampoo on amazon. Anyone try this stuff?

ketoconazole is a growth stimulant, but if you have trouble with seborrhea, Selsun shampoo is a great alternative.

From my experience I believe Revivogen Shampoo is the best to slow down hair loss but not stop it. I would also recommend using it alongside Nizoral. Use Nizoral one day and then Revivo the next. I gave Revita a try from all the hype it has but it's not all that great. Wish it was, but no shampoo can regrow hair. I'm not sure my assessment if fair though because I did not want to use it 5x a week.

I've tried Revita for about two months. It reduces hair loss and scalp itchiness. However, I don't see much hair regrowth as claimed by the manufacturer. Perhaps I should continue using it for a couple more months but considering the price, it's probably worth finding an alternative!

I paid about $30 for the Revita shampoo and it's less than 200mL. Talk about liquid gold!

Any shampoo with 2% ketoconazole would be a good subsitution for Nizoral. There are a few pharmaceutical companies that produce similar shampoo and sometimes they are branded differently.

Yes, that's around the actual price.

Yes, that's around the actual price.

I got it from Biovea for around $35/180mL. It's not widely available in Australia so I have to pay extras for shipping and handling.

I am looking at trying a new shampoo and am thinking about

Regenepure NT: http://www.amazon.com/Regenepure-Nouris ... _rhf_p_t_3

and

Regenepure DR: http://www.amazon.com/Regenepure-DR-Tre ... _ps_t3_t_1

The NT would be more of a daily shampoo and the DR would be every few days. The reviews seem pretty good. Others I am looking at is Revita (which I hear mixed opinions) and Rivivogen.

I really like that the Regenepure does not contain Lauryl or Laureth Sulfates which I'm convinced cause my scalp to break out.
