Don't understand what he is saying at all about 3 hairs growing out of a follicle, that doesn't indicate male pattern baldness at all. It is normal for 1 hair to grow out of each follicle. But if he actually went to a derm (not some laser restoration clinic), then yeah I'd listen to what they said. My bad, get on treatments then.

Ye it was a legit derm who basically told the only real scientific treatments are minoxidil and Finasteride. Looked at my hair and asked about family history and told me it may be in the early stages so if I wanted it to stop I could try finasteride. Afterwards he suggested I could also do the machine to see and evaluate my hair on a microscopic level so I agreed. The results basically showed that my hair is in the beginning stages of male pattern baldness.Didn't see that. The thing with the 3 hair follicles is that he mentioned as balding developes, the follicles with 3 hairs will start to grow only 2 hairs, and then 1 hair to eventually not a single one anymore. My brother actually did the same test and he had less miniaturized haird with like a ratio of 80% 3 hair follicles and the rest 2/ a few one hair follicles. for me I "only" had about 40% 3 hair follicles and 40% 2 hair follicles. So that's why I assumed it may be an indication.

Side effects are pretty uncommon, so may be smart for maintenance anyway if male pattern baldness runs in your family.
