Am I Balding?

First of all, I am 17 and almost 18. My family has a history of baldness on my Mom's side. I have sort of noticed this year the hair at my temples receding, but I don't know if it's just me being paranoid or if it's actually happening, because now I can't remember what it was like before. On the right temple, the hair always went back in this wierd way and would only stay in one direction, so I can tell if it has changed to not. Can someone take a look and tell me if you think it's happening. Also, what should I do to start treating it?
