Am I being paranoid? Please read

I think I've made posts on this forum before... not sure. I make a lot on different forums. Annnyway, I'm very concerned about hair loss. There's a part just in front of my crown that has me very worried, and, as I said, I've asked this on lots of forums, and I've been told that there is a natural part coming from my crown, and because my hair is blonde and my scalp is red (seborrheic dermatitis) this part looks more noticeable, and that there isn't any thinning at all. I just don't know whether I'm being overly paranoid (I have OCD).

There's a lot of pictures of my hair in there, from freshly washed, to dry, to damp, with flash on, flash off etc. These other forums I'm on have said, that based on my soaking wet hair pictures, the density of hair is consistent all over my head, and that the parting or whatever is only noticeable when my hair is dry... especially under harsh lighting.

I was pretty happy what I was told, as it did make sense, then the other day while out with friends, and whilst I was sitting directly under a light, someone mentioned the part that bothers me... and then I started worrying about my hair again.

So yeah... from the pictures, what do you think? I sincerely hope I'm just being paranoid and there's nothing to worry about... My dad isn't bald... well... he's receded, but his crown is intact. My uncle through marriage (so not directly related to me) is bald, and two of his sons have thinning hair. Then again, his other two sons have full heads of thick hair.

I'm going the doctors on Friday about the seborrheic dermatitis, since the shampoo I was prescribed did nothing for me. I'll mention my hair concerns, but am hoping it is just a parting/blonde hair/red scalp issue.

Am I being paranoid?? :/

Anyway... yeah. Thanks for reading.

Yo, thanks for the reply.

I've updated the album with some more pics. Just a few of my hairline... and the thing that I think is causing me the problem. My scalp. Camera ran out of batteries so I had to use my webcam.

I tried slicking back my hair before, and my hair grows forward so it just stuck up straight.... Since my hair was sticking up straight, it was bound to show more scalp than usual cuz it wasn't lying flat... so I took some pics. And I couldn't believe how flipping red my scalp was. So I spiked my hair out everywhere and took pictures of my hair from the top to the back... and my scalp looks really red from the top of my head to the back of my neck hair. :/

I seem to remember in the past saying it was possible you had thinning however loooking at your current pictures i think your fine, you just have very fine hair (as is the case when you're blond).

However it looks pretty painful, so you should be treating the seb derm.

Are you on a decent anti dandruff shampoo?

I once took a photo in the Far East 21 years ago on a hill under a very very bright sun. You couldn't see any hair on the top nor the sides. I looked like Kojak! I wasn't going bald then but like you I have incredibly fine hair. It's the way it is for some of us!

Going the doctors in half an hour, will let you know what she says about my scalp.

Also had my hair cut today, and the hair is fine, it's just the scalp is so red!

EDIT: Just got back from the doctors, and she said that my hair is perfectly fine, and it's my scalp that's the problem. She said it's a bit scaly or something... which doesn't sound the greatest... anyway, she's prescibed me some coconut oil compound ointment or something that I leave on my hair over night... so will see if this works in getting my scalp white.

Sorry for bringing up this topic again, but... I'm honestly confused. As I said, I went to the doctors, and she said there's no hair loss or thinning at all, and I've just got a very inflamed scalp, which she prescribed ointment for.

Anyway, I've got the ointment on now, and I've had to stick up my hair to give the ointment access my scalp.

And me being the worrying kind, checked my hair whilst the hair was sticking up... and I saw this.

I mean... what the hell is that???? When my hair lies flat it doesn't look like that. Is it a parting or what??? :/

Apart from the first three pics in this album (which are from today with the ointment in), this is what my hair looks like flat.

The last five pics my hair has got shampoo in the flatten my hair right down.

I'm honestly confused now.
