The last few days while i've not noticed significant hair loss, there's been a definite change to my hairline. I'm 19, and i'm literally falling apart over this- so just seal my fate now. Am I going bald? :(

Mature hairline which means receding. Your right side is receding more than the left side which is typical with a mature hairline. If your definition of receding and balding are the same then you know what is going on.

Sorry I'm a bit confused- are you saying that I am balding, or that my hairline is just receding normally with age- in other words- Is it likely that I will go on to be bald immediately?

What is your definition of balding? Right now, all I would say is your receding. You never showed photos of your crown. Typically balding is defined as a NW3/NW3A. You are still a NW1 but your right side is starting to recede.

What's your families hair like?

You have great hair. I'd stop worrying, wait a few months keeping an eye on it, take more photo's and compare.

very unlikely you will go bald immediately because you are not really balding. Your hair looks great and noone would ever stop and think you are balding in the real world, people on here just have a finely tuned sense of the development of 'hairloss'. The thing is, the majority of men end up with some form of hairloss, and having a hairline that 'matures' (which is a euphemism for slow recession more or less) is extremely common which is why some people here are telling you to GTFO. Your hairline is good and your hair is thick all over. All you need to do is observe your hair because if you are someone with slow recession there isn't much sense medicating for a hairline that may or may not recede a few mm's in the next decade or beyond. If you start comparing pictures of your hairline every 6 months you should be able to determine if there is any more recession after a few intervals. If you get to a point where you feel it is continuing at a rate you don't like then you should consider doing something about it if its important to you, but as you are right now you have nothing to worry about, ur hair is great.

The second photo shows a cowlick that might be the start of vertex thinning but its really hard to say. Honestly, if you don't have strong family history of balding early, I would wait another 6 months to see if you have progressed.

100% serious post here:

You have recession, but very, very little. Monitor and if you notice it getting worse/receding further, come back here and we can help you with getting meds.

Crown is totally fine.

Your right temple looks to have matured, but the rest of your hair looks thick and healthy - so this is the key in answering, no you aren't balding. You've just caught onto your hairline maturation early, whereas most people don't even think about the prospect of losing their hair until late 20's. Crown is fine, thats a hair whorl.

Go enjoy your life, and check your progress every 6 months just to stay on top of things.

Density is still there, crown intact. Normal recession on hairline. If you are balding I'd say itd be very slow and you should def take the time you need to confirm 100% you are balding. A little temple recession without thinning isn't enough of a reason to hop on treatments just yet.

If your hair is receeding then technically you have some hairloss. Its not bdd, just keep an eye on it.
