Picture no. 3 gave an impression of crown thinning.Post some more pictures with your hair combed forwad etc etc.

Basically this doctor coudnt tell because this is the first time he had seen me. He said come back in around 2 months. He also said watch out for excess loss of hair on pillows and such. Although how much is alot? 3-4 or 10-20? If I run my hands through my hair and it gets stuck to my hands, does that count? I reallly dont know and its stressing me like you wouldnt beleive and now that im stressing doesnt this cause me to lose hair?
Oh he also said I had tiny gaps. This could be hairloss or just the way my hair is.

acceptable hair loss per day ranges between 50 to 100 hairs.Everything counts.Keep a close look on hair but donot eat yourself.Your hair is fine. If taug sees your hair,he will kill himself for your hair.peter86 said:

man, staring at your hairline makes me wanna :cry: .... I don't think I've ever had a hairline as "strong" as that. Been receding since I was 16.
I wouldn't worry at all if I were you, lots of ppls hair looks like that when wet. Doesn't mean it's male pattern baldness. So don't be like me and waste your time stressing out about going bald.... I've thrown away most of my youth b/c of that.
Just remember to take some pictures 6 months from now.... that's the only way you'll know for sure whether you're balding or not. In the mean time, forget about your hair cuz it still looks great.

Yeah it's a tough call. I can't understand how a doctor could not tell you one way or the other. They have a machine where they can see if your hair is miniaturized. You need to see one of those.
Anyways worst case you sart on .25 finasteride for a few years then move up to .5. You are probably golden for the rest of your life on nothing but finasteride and nizoral.

If you cut your hair short, wet it and then put it under a strong light of course you're going to look like you're balding. It's ridiculous!

I second that. I have friends whose hair looks much worse than that for decades now and they have have no signs of male pattern baldness whatsoever. Seriously, the guy has a light shining directly onto this crown. Most ppl will have some scalp showing in conditions like that.
Having said that though, the only way you'll know for sure whether that male pattern baldness is to take pics every few months or so to see if things get progressively worse. But judging from the pics, there's no reason for him to jump the gun on medication.
