When i first got into finasteride i began a cycle of generics ordered offline. I experienced breast tenderness, low libido, prostate symptoms etc. however i finished the cycle regardless. When it came time to refill i made sure to have my GP write me a script for propecia brand finasteride. Within a matter of days symptoms were gone( i should note that cycle one was 6 monthes of obvious sides) after taking propecia for a while my gp switched me to proscar as it was a better value. Over the years i would use many differant generics and all of them gave me some form of prostate related side effects. Its obvious to me and i think any reasonable human being that generics are not the same as the original formula. You get what u pay for and this is serious business so my advice is dont use any generic finasteride, and i would stay away from any generic drugs...as this is your health...

Hey, I corrected my regimen as follows:

Propecia .25mg
Rogaine Foam 2x daily
Regenepure 3-4x per wk

At .25 mg the sides are enough for me to handle...not sure how I am going to make out but check my thread under WRATHOFKALA HAIR TRACKER when you get the chance. My libido was dead at 1mg to be honest......

Of course there is a chance you can thicken but just be realistic most of the time keeping your hair is the best you can hope for with a little regrowth. Current treatments leave a lot to be desired, but doing something is better then doing nothing.

Have you ever used a concealer like Toppik? It would thicken your hair up noticeably and give you more confidence when going out.

I think the more realistic expectation is using finasteride and minoxidil to keep your hair you have while using a concealer to give you additional thickness.
