OP,my friend had similar thinning like you,but he had worse diffuse thinning in nw7.Now he is taking brand name propecia 0,5mg for about 6 months and has very good results,he thickened up almost all of his hairs.Keep in mind that he only takes propecia,no minoxidil and no nizoral.Just dont start with the Dutasteride,even finasteride do some damage to your body to some degree and Dutasteride is way powerful.People here have good results with Duta but they dont tell you nothing about their ED,mental problems and practically without DHT in body,because this poison blocks over 90% DHT.I can understand when someone taking Dutasteride for enlarged prostate,but for cosmetic purposes is absurd.And that im not mention some people who turning to trannys,because of hair.

Your hairline appears to still be generally intact, that in itself is a blessing

Finasteride, minoxidil, and nizoral shampoo. These are your friends

This big three, will it regrow my hair or just stop further loss? Or hopefully, both?

Chances of both, good chances of increasing existing hair quality and possible regrowth on crown, you definitely seem like a perfect candidate to respond well to the big 3

If you wanna go full force and attack this thing head on I personally recommend minoxidil.

Your regimen should look like this

Propecia 1mg/day
Minoxidil 2x a day (1x if morning application isn't possible for you, I use it 1x)
Nizoral 1 or 2% 2x a week let it sit in scalp for 3-5 min

Don't listen to that guy recommending you dutasteride at 22.

finasteride is safer, and use minoxidil because you still have miniaturized hairs on your crown, similar to what I had. Min x2 a day grew back a ton for me.

Do at least something already. To be honest, this is a pretty aggressive hair loss for 22 y. o., I thought you were older.
Look, that's what I call a multi-angle approach (drugs that may cause a significant feminization are marked in red):

1. 5α-Reductase inhibitors: Finasteride (Propecia, Finpecia, etc), Dutasteride (Avodart, Duprost);
2. Vasolidators, growth agents: topical Minoxidil 5%-15% (better works in combination with dermarolling/dermaneedling); oral Minoxidil 5-10 mg day (Loniten);
3. Anti-inflammatories, anti-fungal: ketokonazole (Nizoral 2%), miconazole, cetirizine, JAK inhibitors, etc.;
4. Experimental topical antiandrogens: RU-58841, CB-03-01 (Breezula, Winlevi);
5. Prostaglandin D2 inhibitors (expensive): setipiprant, fevipiprant, ramatroban, OC000459;
6. Prostaglanding E2 inducers: LiCL, castor oil, valproic acid, etc.;
7. Androgen receptor antagonists, antiandrogens (oral or topical): spironolactone, cyproterone acetate, flutamide, bicalutamide, enzalutamide;
8. Female hormones, estrogens: (oral or topical): estradiol hemihydrate (Estrofem), estradiol valerate (Progynova), ethinylestradiol (Diane 35), Estrogel, etc...

Just start with the baseline treatments:

finasteride for long term maintenance and dht control
minoxidil for regrowth
nizoral to minimize scalp inflammation

Many people do fantastic with just these things, others need more.

6 months - 1 year of consistency, then assess your status and whether you would benefit from increasing/decreasing intensity of your regimen.

Okay, big 3 it is then. I'll get it this weekend, I'm hoping this will sort me out. I'm guessing the cost is going to be huge, lol. That's least of my worries right now.

Thanks everyone!

One more question, have you had any side affects from any of them?

At this moment I only take 1, 7 and 8.
From 1 I have no side effects, from 7—sexual side effects and mild feminization.

Good for you :). The Big 3 should definitely give you some nice results. You're in the UK, right? Let me know if you'd like some help with where to obtain your Finasteride.

Yeah, I've checked a few things online, is this the right thing?

After your morning minoxidil did you wash it out or leave it and put more in at night?

at 22 years old and that amount of hair loss, you definitely need to get on Dutasteride. It is the strongest available treatment that we currently have.

A bit too drastic. I had more severe hairloss younger than him and just finasteride 1mg have been enough to stop the hairloss and give a bit of regrowth.

Sure, dutasteride will be more effective in terms of regrowth but I think finasteride + minoxidil would be the right choice starting off.
