Anagen Process??

Do we have any experts on this site who can help answer this question, please??

The 6 stages of Anagen are:

* Stage I -growth of the dermal papilla and on-set of mitotic activity in the germ-like overlying epithelium
* Stage II -bulb matrix cells envelop the dermal papilla and begin differentiation, evolving bulb begins descent along the fibrous streamer
* Stage III-bulb matrix cells show differentiation into all follicular components
* Stage IV-matrix melanocytes reactivate
* Stage V-hair shaft emerges and dislodges telogen hair
* Stage VI-new hair shaft emerges from skin surface

Does anyone roughly know how long this complete anagen process takes from stage 1 through to stage 6 (is it weeks or months)??
Its probably different for everyone but I just need an approximate time, please.

Thanks very much in advance.

I don't have an answer for you on the anagen process!

but I have a few questions about your regimen.........are you still getting results from minoxidil. after 15 years? Have you been using it continuously? what has your experience been like after 15 years?
I use an amino acid supplement with my minoxidil and I grow hair like crazy.

The reason why Rogaine doesnt do much by itself is because the scalp is void of protein (or the 22 keratin amino acids)

existing hairs or new ones? when did you start the amino acid (based on you 15 yrs on minoxidil.)? is it administered orally or is it a topical? why does the scalp become void of the 22 keratin amino acids and how do you know this? very interested in this......
No, new ones. I've grown a lot of new hair by adding amino acids to my bottle of rogaine. The reason why Mx only grows very fine babyhair is because the scalp is not getting enough protein (or amino acids). So if you add a half capsule of protein to your bottle of Mx you will grow much more hair then Mx alone.

If you want the name of the brand I use then let me know and I'll post it (if thats allowed on this forum)

Before giving the brand (which I see nothing wrong with btw).....could you please explain this in more detail? Where did you learn of this?....Can you provide some studies or sources for this info.?
No studies or sources, I discovered this by accident. I am a biochemist by trade. I also work out in the gym a lot and take amino acids to stay fit.

I noticed when I popped AA capsules I would grow more hair on Mx. Once I went on vacation and didnt bring my AA's with me my hair would stop growing. So I tested it out, took a few weeks off from AA's, then went back on AA's and my hair started growing again.

Then a lightbulb went off inside my head, and I figured why not add AA's topically on my scalp. The rest is history.

Also....I'm curious about your initial question.....why are you seeking an approximate time period for the anagen phase of the hair cycle?
I was just curious

Make sure you get capsules. You only need about half a capsule of powder dissolved into your rogaine liquid, thats enough. It should dissolve easily into the 60/40 VV water alcohol solution.

Here's a breakdown of all amino's found in keratin (hair):

In addition I also add L-Cysteine and L-glutamine to the solution, this will grow you even more hair.

So all together 3 different additives

is there any way to add this to the rogaine foam version?
No, that would be quite challenging.

You can just buy some rubbing alcohol (or IPA) at drug store, and make a 50/50 water alcohol solution in a spray bottle and apply it separately from the rogaine to your scalp.

Or you can do what I do, just go out and buy liquid rogaine and add half capsule to it. You only need to apply rogaine once a day btw, twice daily is just not necessary. I've been doing it once daily for 15 years without losing hair.

I usually put it on at night, and wash it out in the shower in morning
