What do you think would happen to someone (be it their hair and hormonal balance) who wasn't affected by male pattern baldness but did the propecia thing once a day etc (for whatever reason) ?

It would do exactly the same thing to a non-male pattern baldness person as it would to a male pattern baldness person....it simply reduces the amount of DHT in the blood. Now, if you are afflicted with male pattern baldness that is very helpful because DHT kills hair. For non-male pattern baldness people, they would experience the side-affects, if any, like any other person. Remember that Propecia (finasteride) is used to help Prostate problems...a "side-affect" of using the drug was that some men grew hair back. Similar thing happened with minoxidil...it is a blood pressure medicine, side affect of that drug was that, for some people, it grew hair back.
