Another Question About Gyno!

Have either of you had any thoughts on DIM? There is a natural health shop near me that sells 60 capsules for £15, so I am thinking of going to get some tomorrow. Reports say it may also lower the risk of developing prostate/breast cancer too and being a natural substance, there does not appear to be any noticable side effects, with the recomended dose.

I am lead to believe that DIM converts some of the bodys 'bad' estrogen into 'good' estrogen and thus increasing free T levels.

Is this stuff worth a shot, or is it a waste of time?

Dave...Never heard of the stuff....Please keep in mind, just becuase something is "natural" doesn't make it safe or free of side-effects by any means.

BHD - I have seen it mentioned on other forums and if you do a search on google there is lots of information available on it. I understand what you are saying about natural not necessearily being safer, but all the documentation i have read so far seems to indicate that it is less risky than other drugs. I am lead to believe that adding the DIM supliment to your diet allows the body to convert more of the bad estrogen (estradiol) into a safer form.

In my opinion DIM gives the body an opportunity to do more of what it does naturally anyway as opposed to 'blocking' any of the bodys hormones.

As i say this is only my opinion and i may be wrong (probably am :D )

I will buy some today and keep you all informed with how it goes.

BHD Maybe it would be worth you looking into it and possibly adding it to your current regime, to help with the gyno?

Just another option to consider,

Heres a link to some information, its worth a read anyway,

Thanks for the help,

Dave.

Nah...I'd rather not experiment with something like that. If it worked all the musclheads would be using it instead of nolvadex.
If I were you I wouldn't take any other drugs that could throw your hormone balance off unless it was absolutely neccasary. You don't even know if you have gyno yet.

If you keep changing your regimen around It'll take longer to get results.

Yea thats a fair point. I just thought that finasteride caused a rise in estrogen levels generally, and gyno or no gyno, this product would help put the balance closer to the natural level.

I will try and see the doctor about the situation, and see what he suggests.

I think there was someone on another one of the forums who started using this stuff a while ago. I might message him and see how its going.

Good luck with your new regiem and please keep up the frequent updates. I would be interested to hear how things go.
