Hey there,

There’s some interesting research around antihistamines and their potential effects on hair loss. Antihistamines work by blocking histamine receptors, which are involved in allergic reactions and inflammation. Some believe they may help with hair loss by reducing inflammation around the hair follicles or by affecting the hormones involved in hair growth.

However, there’s not a lot of strong evidence directly linking antihistamines to promoting hair growth or stopping hair loss. Some anecdotal reports suggest that certain antihistamines, like cetirizine (Zyrtec), might have mild benefits for hair retention, but these aren't universally accepted by the scientific community.

That said, antihistamines can sometimes have side effects, such as drowsiness or dry scalp, which could potentially make things worse if you’re already struggling with hair thinning.

If you're considering using antihistamines for hair loss, it's best to consult with a healthcare professional to understand the potential effects based on your specific situation. And, of course, keep in mind that hair loss often requires a multifaceted approach, combining treatments like finasteride, minoxidil, or others.

Eh. The products that work always have one effective ingredient and we know that they work. Once people start throwing in the works , it degrades things. It doesn't supercharge it. I don't think that adding antihistamines is going to somehow enhance the formula. I see this all of the time with respect to things like Nutriol<rolls eyes> Now some things do act synergistically like say estradiol and Dutasteride but again that's only two and we know more or less how they work together. I can pretty much guarantee that nothing you can buy with more than one drug in it will grow hair. Nothing that you can buy over the counter will work for hair except for the few estradiol and estriol products. But mixing the two, might degrade one or the other or both. I don't think that we know except that generally only estradiol and similar molecules are strong enough to invoke hair improvement in men and except in marginal cases, it has to go systemic or it won't work. DHT must be fought by estrogen 24/7 because it's so damn clingy to receptors. And dutasteride should prevent DHT from even forming which is key because it is so clingy and hard to break down once formed.
