Any Aussies using Proscar?

Currently using Propecia but at $67AU a month it is way too much and am getting smashed financially. Am considering going the Proscar route to save costs or else I'm going to have to quit.

- In Aust do you need a prescription?

- If the answer is yes (which i'm pretty sure it is) how have the Doctors reacted when you have asked them to prescribe this instead of Propecia? Have they been forthcoming or have they refused?

I have a feeling my local GP won't be impressed when I ask her this and will refuse.

- If your buying this online any good local sites you can recommend?

Dude , I'm in perth and i get my generic finasteride from inhousepharmacy.com you can get a 6 month supply (180 x 1mg finasteride tablets) for 98 US dollars. No need for a prescription just order and it will come. I've been on it for almost 2 months now, no sides but alas no overwhelming results either.. Im about 80% sure this stuff is the real deal tho.

Yeah mate im on Proscar and i get mine from my doctor. Its $98 dollars for 30 Proscar pills cut into 4 its not bad value for money should last you a few months and save you some cash, grab a pill splitter aswell you will need one.

I have gone Generics in the past but find it just gives me a peace of mind to get Prescription, my doctor has asked me to accept my hairloss and move on with life. He has alot of reservations about giving me Proscar but i tell him it makes me feel better and im having no side effects so he keeps making out the prescription.

Do you have health cover?
mbf gives me back $44 a month on my propecia, makes it a lot more affordable.
That's if you can afford health cover to begin with I suppose...

Yeah I'm the same as this dude. I ordered mine from United Pharmacies originally, but they can't ship to Australia anymore, so Inhouse is the go. No problems to report at all.

How is it costing you $68 a month though? You can buy the legit Proscar from Inhouse for $95. That is 120 days worth there and far cheaper.
