Seems as if the Swedish Medical Prodcts Agency listens to crybabys OR they suspect something we don't.

It's not easy quiting a drug that is known for its fantastic anti-hairloss results and body-adjustable sides which goes away after drugstop. But is this really true in 100% of the cases? Probably not.

We all want to save our hair and some will defend their only hope (finas) with plenty of cavemen brutality.

I hope this anti-propecia propaganda is just pure baloney..I really hope so...but..

Eat headache pills every day for 10 years and well...write a book about all sides

I am wondering if people with prostate problem who pop Proscar, which is 5 times the dosage has similar side effects.
If Propecia is a culprit, then the same must be said about Proscar. Right?

hah, that's a really good point. I'd completely forgotten that people use proscar for things other than hair loss!

Proscar has been used for prostatic cancer for many years. There are also very known side effects of that too, not too diffrent from propecia: hair grown, gyno, possible prostatic cancer etc. And you must keep in mind that proscar is FOR prostatic cancer only. So the afford to take a risk. The reason why propecia is so contraversy in medical society is because it is almost the only drug out there that doesn't treat any DISEASEs but only corrects some cosmetic problems.

I don't know about proscar, but i think finasteride was first targeted on prostate cancer treatment, or at least it's main purpose.

Not cancer, BPH - Benign prostatic hyperplasia. That is basically an enlarging of the Prostate. DHT causes this enlargement hence the same treatment as hairloss.It is not for the treatment of Prostate Cancer.

I STARTED TAKING IN DECEMBER.IM 46 AND HAD NO PROBLEM WITH THE WOOD.SEX DRIVE WENT DOWN TOO MUCH FOR ME.I DIDNT EVEN GET A LITTLE RUSH WHEN LOOKING AT A NICE PAIR OF JOYS.ALTHOUGH I DID GET A HARD ON.BUT IT TAKES COAXING AND I DID NOT GO FOR THAT. I HAVENT READ this thread because im sure i know exactly what its gona say. Im tryin to keep my hair also,,, but did suffer sides. Im not gna moan cos i simply am fed up of being jumped at from lots of people on this site. But watever. Propeciahelp.com isnt tryin to slag off propecia... I read it to try n rid my probs and even read threads where they say "Why do some people have absoloutly no side effects???" and they are confused but trying to find out why. This may help them and me find a cure also..

People can say the ones who suffer sides are idiots or its all in their heads.. buts its very real for a lot... (just look at the poll on side effects) I somehow dont think its 2%.. but its not an issue for me.. becuase i suffer sides so i gota deal with it(i dont go and see the Doctor for no reason!!).. and not concentrate on how many people get it or not...

I dont think people here should say,, there tryin to slag propecia off...... Imagine u got badly effected... its devistating.... i think even u would be angry at merk (put urself in their/my shoes) Im js fed up of arguing with people who deny there are others with sides.... Its stuped.!

You want to keep your head in the sand about the dangerous possibilities of this drug for a small percentage of men, go right ahead. But if you ever get the side effects and if they don't resolve after YOU quit, you'll be eating your words. Trust me on that.

Bubka is doing exactly the same FOR propecia as some of these dudes against it. I guess you don't see it 'cause he shares your opinion, right? All who don't pop the pill and are informing of the sides they've had are horseshoe losers and whining *** tittybabies and whatever insult the genius mind can think of. You know, I'm not a total NW5 yet but since taking finasteride I've been strongly heading to that direction. Now I don't blame the finasteride for speeding up the process or anything but it surely hasn't helped any.

Why you guys have to act like narrow mined b****s? Nobody says finasteride does not have sides. I agree with everyone here, poping finasteride isn't very safe, but its a risk one has to take. Some would take the risk and some will not. I have read many studies before I started finasteride myself. There are many long time users who have maintained their hair over 10 yrs yet experienced no sides at all.

I bet you wouldn't leave the same comment if finasteride regrows your hair without giving you any sides.

hi guys, I don't know whether there is a need for this, but why are you trying to stop those who wanna do something about their hair? I mean everybody took finasteride coz they want to save their hair and even if it doesnt, it aint matters. if you happen to be the exceptional one who find finasteride doesnt help you or speed up your hair loss rather. just stop taking it. no whining please
