I like to make this to a topic again.

Suggest, if one is taking mtf medicine like estradio + spino and grows back from a NW5 to a NW2, which is very realistic. He takes this medicine 1 Year with all negative effects like decreased libdo and breast growth.
If he drops then the medicine and still taking Finasterid, is there a chanche that he will have in 2 years a better status than the initial situation, like Stiking whith a NW3-4?

What Norwood you stay on will depend on the genetic sensitivity of your hair follicles combined with the hormonal level that you are able to maintain on a daily basis.

Technically removing all DHT should stop you from losing the hair gains but since Finasteride isn't really going to do that for you you will probably lose some of the HRT gains and then stabilise on a level somewhat worse than what you had.

Mention: I had been a FULL NW5 on Mai 2017, i gained a lot since then as I started with Finasterid. Now Iam likely a NW4a.

As you said "probably lose some of the HRT gains and then stabilise on a level somewhat worse than what you had." You mean I will end up worser then now or worser as I started loosing my hair?
I didn't really undertstand your statement, as I am not the best english speaker, can you maybe go more in details, as its very important to me.

Thanky you in advance!

Basically the more powerful your regimen the lower the Norwood level that you can successfully maintain.
Since Finasteride isn't really going to compete with a HRT regimen you will probably lose the NW4a to a NW5 or worse.
In theory if you could eliminate all DHT you could keep your HRT results. But to do that you would need something like 2.5 mg dutasteride.

I hate to disagree but that isn't realistic, much less very realistic. I've posted a few times on Susans ( transgender forum ) asking about the regrowth they had and most only reported minimal regrowth after 6 months on treatment. You're obviously still more likely to regrow on HRT than finasteride as all of the users who replied to my thread did experience some regrowth. I've been on HRT for 40 days and I've only experienced a minimal decrease in shedding ( 10 - 20 hairs less than before ) but I'm still shedding and miniaturising enough to continue to lose ground. Maybe I will stop losing in a few months and see some slight regrowth but that's it. Im actually not expecting regrowth at all, but I would very much like some. What is a very realistic expectation from HRT is maintenance and maybe some thickening. Not many get remarkable results but most do regrow a little. I think it will at least slow down my balding but I'm not convinced it will stop it.[/QUOTE]

Have you used minoxidil before? If so that could be a reason why no regrowth if you have used it in the past year or so
I've been using oral minoxidil for the last 9 months. I used it before HRT which only properly started 40 days ago. Initially with the minoxidil I got the starting shed then I began to regrow lost hair, my hair even became thicker.. Almost as thick as when I was 14! The success was short lived though and I lost it all in 3 months and shed further hair for another 2 and a half. Its slowing down now though but for how long I don't know.
