Any one using a salon for only cut ins?

Hello, I have been wearing for over a year. Using a salon for the system,cut in and service. The service is once a month. During the month I will detach and re attach once or twice on my own. My schedule has changed so it will not be as easy for me to go to the salon every month. I do not trust myself to do the cut ins. I think I can handle the servicing between cut ins. Does anyone use their salon only for new system cut ins? Any issues with cutting the bio hair? I have been using the salon to purchase new systems. I have been getting a new system about every four months. Thanks

Plenty of folks do, quite common.

I visit a salon for the cut in only and take care of the rest including my own hair cuts.
I think the logic is to ask your location and locals may chime in

I am in the NYC suburbs. I was wondering how the salon is going to take it. I have had a good relationship with them. They have been pushing a monthly contract but I held off not wanting to lock into anything. I know there are other options but this place is very convenient for me.
