Anybody Here Who Developed Permanent Hair Loss After Taking Accutane?

basically acne fucks up my life heavily, as much as current har loss.

i dont know if its worth the risk to take accutane and going bald in 2 months just to get rid of bunch of acne on my back.

Don't ruin your hair for your back. That is my opinion. I don't mean to be condescending but have you tried scrubbing your back with a loofah or small towel? Dead skin can absolutely cause body acne and water alone will not remove it.

Yeah f*** accutane never took it but read some pretty bad horror stories. You'd be better off taking finasteride .... Usually clears up acne but promotes hair growth and maintenance

I've been on finasteride for just over a week, and I myself have suffered with bacne and spots on my chest for the last 2 years. I put it down to a possible bowt of depression a couple of years ago as I never had any real problems growing up. Anyway considered accutane but had to go through different anti biotics and topical treatment which did nothing. However, since taking Finasteride and using Nizoral twice a week, my acne has really cleared up. I can't say if it's a coincidence, or I'm just going through a good phase, I don't even know if there is any research in to it but it could be worth looking in to? Good luck

I took Accutane in my teenage years(17-18)when i had ‘severe’ acne on my face. I’m 25 now and have NOT experienced any severe acne breakouts since. I’ll go months without even a pimple. Accutane works wonder to treat your acne. I have not taken Accutane since so I can confirm it will cure your acne for years to come.

The only side effect I experienced was when I went outdoors I’d get a red face.

I would have to see a picture of your hair to see if you're going bald. Are you noticing it at your temples or on the crown
