Using clips I presume?? How long can you keep hair underneath and still hold down a piece?

Depends...
If the hair is thick and push's it up...
it might not look right

Is the price proportional to surface area? I just need to cover the first 4 inches of my head, and 1.5 inches on the sides, so I think I need a smaller tupee than most guys do. Would that cost me less, even with the side flaps?

I'm tempted to spend $100-150 on a small frontal toupee, if they are available in that range and are not obvious from 2-3 feet away. I don't care if someone paying attention can see it is not right from 2 feet away, just as long as it is hard to tell from 3 feet away. I'd wear it till it wore out 3 months later, and then I'd have the rest of my head and wear a baseball cap till my hair grew out again. I'm not going to do that now. But later, when I'm caught up in school and in better shape and have more money, I'll give it a go and see if it gets me more women.

I just put dermmatch in my hair, and I think a little line in the hair line of a toupee would look much better than my very thin, V shaped, high hair line.
