I can grow bum fluff. I have started rubbing minoxidil on my beard area in hopes it can become thicker.

Minoxidil transformed my beard growth, went from only being able to grow a goatee to almost a full beard, sides are still a little patchy. I wasn't even applying directly to my face, it was all from secondary contact.

23. Been on finasteride 3 years. Think finasteride halted my body hair and facial hair growth, but it was very weak to begin with. I know many people complain of not being able to grow a beard, but my facial hair is that of like an 11 year old. Like it is super sparse. Looks horrible so have to shave it off, although only every week or so because it grows so slow. "Side burns" were always weak af too, but they're worse now since starting finasteride. Very little body hair as well. My calves have a decent amount of hair and my thighs have some too, but very little hair elsewhere. Very very little chest hair. Forearms have very little hair, upper-arm has none. No back hair. Arm pits aren't very dense at all. But tbh I like having little body hair, but not liking being unable to grow a beard.

I have a friend my age who has around the same amount of body and facial hair, but his hair looks like Justin Bieber's at 19.

Did he go through puberty?

Yeah he said he didn't hit puberty until like 14 or 15 though (idk if I believe that, seems super super late). His dad still has a NW1 hairline and is in his 50s. I hit puberty in 5th grade so was 9 or 10. Think facial and body hair are just something that don't run much in my family. Both my older brothers can't grow like any either, but then again they don't have any hair loss.

Dralex have you ever had your hormone levels checked? You may just have low DHT (aka no body hair/beard) and that may be why you aren't responding well to anti-androgens. Although, I have heard that factors like body acne can be a sign of high DHT.
