Anyone Else Still Losing Hair With dutasteride After 10 Months?

As the tittle says.

Im currently using minoxidil 5% with dutasteride, after dropping finasteride for something stronger last summer. My hairline seems to keep receeding, hair on the sides is also receeding, the top is getting less and less denser, and the male pattern baldness itch still continues. NW2.5 going fast to NW3.

Is that normal? Perhaps my follicles are even damaged with simple testosterone, aside from DHT.

I think Brotzu lotion is the only thing that could save me right now.

Edit: It would be actually 9 months since last July.

It took about 5 months after starting Dutasteride for my shedding to stop, and about a year to see significant changes. I would say if your Dutasteride is legit, and you're taking it daily your hair loss should have slowed down by now. Keep in mind, not everyone is a responder to specific types of treatment. I was not a responder to Finasteride, but responded very well with Dutasteride. Was Minoxidil recently introduced into your regimen?

No, It isnt. I actually started with minoxidil about 7 years ago. I only added the antiandrogens later

I took dutasteride from 2014 to mid 2016.

I still lost more hair and I started to get a greasy forehead. Though my hairline didn’t move at all.

I think for some of us 5ar blocking isn’t enough.

Have you tried RU? That would block both T and DHT from binding.

Have you thought about trying an anti androgen? dutasteride significantly boosts your testosterone levels, and hair is susceptible to ALL androgens INCLUDING testosterone.

Interesting... Ive always had a greasy forehead and nose since puberty

No, I havent tried RU. Im a little scared about heart problems (I remember reading about that guy who had heart failure because of systemic penetration...)

I keep wondering If blocking PGD2 instead would do the thing for me.

Why not both?

I did. Get your DHT levels checked. Mine were completely normal even after 11 months on dutasteride. The med just doesn't work on me. Even at 2.5 mg/day it does nothing on me.

Had to switch to topical androgen receptor antagonists as a result.
