I have bought two Growbands..The old one you pump up yourself & new one which pumps itself up… I got both on eBay at a sizable discount… I use it everyday for 10 minutes… Only thing I can say is it appears to give a descent massage which would be difficult using your hands.. I’m using it in conjunction with lasers & Niiostem machine..
So overall hair density has improved .. but after 6 months .. still not where I am satisfied… The hairs that are in thinned out areas have to thicken & grow faster..
You could probably pick up used ine for couple 100 bucks ..
Thank you for post .. First time seeing the original Japanese model.. very similar to Old Growband model
I just read in the original Japanese study..participants used the device for— 2 HOURS A DAY.. WHAT?

Iv not tried the growband but do massages/compression on side of head with similar effect at least 5 times a day. I also sleep in a position that relieves tention on galea in a similar way again, it's absolutely undeniable that my hair 'feels' thicker in terms of texture and volume, the trouble is to see any regrowth if even possible would take years. I can't say for sure I've had regrowth but have almost zero shedding. I reckon if I was on meds I would see quicker results.

The key thing people always miss is it's takes 10-20 years for hairs to miniaturize due to DHT, so doing the reverse will also take a long time and the more you relieve the tension the quicker this process will happen.

If I was you I would stick to growband and use it at every possible opportunity. Id also look at sleeping posture because if you can find the right position, that's 6-9 hours every day in the bank.

Im interested to know - have you also noticed a 'volumising' affect after using growband, similar to myself? I notice similar after a neck/back massage as well.

there was a man in italy (Giovanni Serri Pili) a few years ago who wrote a book about his experience. for several months he had adopted various techniques to stimulate the circulation of blood in the scalp. it was a real lifestyle, he slept in a certain way, he sat in a certain way, he massaged and moved his scalp to unblock it for several hours a day. I think he used a band during the night
This is the cover of his book, Never Gone Calf, those who knew him say that he was a true pioneer and that his regrowth was confirmed by many people close to him
Thanks for sharing! I read your post and it sounds like this guy has been doing exactly what I have for the last 4 months but maybe to a more extreme level, so going to find a translated version.

Have you read this book?

Good morning unfortunately I have not read the book. But in an Italian forum it has been discussed a lot in the past years. Some users have adopted some of the techniques described in the book such as facial gymnastics, moving the galea with the ocipital muscles, sitting correctly. Serri had set his lifestyle as the goal of hair regrowth

That's interesting, it all connects. Iv read many articles regarding occipital exercises and only recently adapted my sleeping, sitting and walking posture which is the hardest thing. I am planning to download the book in pdf and translate with an app this weekend.

I've know for years DHT is the result of inflammation and not the other way around (it's the same EVERYWHERE on the body, why do some people ignore this when it's a well known medical fact!) , everything - finasteride, minoxidil, hair transplants, PRP, bottox injections, derma rolling, laser etc.... all align with this theory perfectly.

Some people probably won't believe as a lot of guys with terrible posture and lifestyle habits have great hair - that's because they don't have this 'pull' on galea causing the inflammation/DHT.
