I'm thinking about trying this stuff but am rather uninformed about it thus far. Is it like min in a sense that you nneed to apply twice a day religiously with similar sides? I've read through the official website and everything but much like I did before finasteride, I would prefer to hear it from someone who gave it a shot before investing in the effort.

I've just decided to add it to my regimen. I was contemplating between that and spironolactone, but I've heard many more good things about Tricomin. A lot of people have also had some good results with it even using it 3x a week, so I think from a cost-benefit perspective it was worth adding.

Yeah, I've heard that spironolactone is junk as well. Is it recomended more than 3x a week? tric that is

I think the instructions say 2x per day, but there's no way I'm doing that, especially at $46 a bottle. At that rate I think it only lasts for about 2 months.

Depends on whether the initial spray gets it onto the scalp. On a bald patch you won't need to be a rubbin' it in, but where hair gets in the way you'll probably need to give it a helping hand, or little finger.

Been thinking about adding Tric. to my regimen: the balding process appears to have rumbled my Avodart defence and is proceeding to make inroads into my hairline & temples. The bastard.

After seeing how thin my hair is after the inicial finasteride shed I'm just busting to add some kind of growth stimulant to my reg. Min honestly seems like simply to much of a hassel and inconveniece for me to stick to and tric seems just so convenient having to simply spray it on the thin spots a few days per week..The thing is though it seems to damned good to be true by all logic wich has me scared. Unlike finasteride and min, it doesn't have easily accesible stidies to back up and guage it's effectiveness. the logical part of me says to not ignore the obvious and dismiss it as a sham product, but I'm not sure I should just dismiss it that quickly.

Tricomin, in my opinion, will not give you regrowth, especially if used only a few times a week.

If you want growth then use minoxidil. Period. Even if it's only once a night before bed it can still work.

Good luck.

Tricomin has a lot of science backing it, but it still ranks behind Minoxidil in terms of effectiveness. The owner of this site once posted a list of the effectiveness of treatments, which went like this:

(1) Propecia (2) Rogaine (3) Tricomin (4) Topical spironolactone 5% (5) Revivogen (6) Crinagen (7) Folligen (8 ) Everything else

I think Rogaine leads to more growth than Propecia, but since it doesn't fundamentally slow/stop the balding process Propecia probably trumps Rogaine overall.

I did read that list actually, which triggered this thought: "If the third part of the big three is Nizoral shampoo, which would be classified as *everything else*, then why is nizoral the third part and not tri or spironolactone/rev/crin/fol"?

I supose this list is after all based on chlinical testing so that leads me to theorize that "the big three" is actually based on user experience from observing results...?

In the trials the peptide in tricomin show regrowth simular to minoxidil 2%, the tricomin that is sold now don't have the same amount of peptides like in the trials. Never seen users to report grow from tricomin, but lot of guys said that finasteride+tricomin is killer combo :) It can improve the scalp health and thick the existing hair. Once per day it's optimal, the only player out of the "Big 3" that can have benefits.

Oh, I am totally now on board with the idea that finasteride + Tricomin is a killer combo. I've had moderate/decent success with finasteride (and Nizoral), but tossing Tricomin into the regimen was like taking it to a new gear. My shedding is almost nonexistent now and I'm seeing small hairs grow along my frontal hairline. Whether this is tricomin or tricomin assisting finasteride to do its job, I don't know - but the two combined seem to have a great synergistic effect. Anyone with mild results with finasteride should DEFINITELY consider trying tricomin.

Once my Revivogen shampoo bottle runs out, I'm also going to switch to the Tricomin shampoo. It's cheaper and I think there's a better shot it will actually help the scalp a bit. I've read anecdotal reports on the web of people who have used the shampoo and had gray hairs have their pigmentation return... an indication that the active ingredients are in some way improving the scalp condition. Whether the Revivogen shampoo is doing anything (aside from smelling great and feeling good) is anyone's guess :dunno: .

Hmmm, that's interesting. I've only been on finasteride/nizoral for about 2.5 months and have seen a load of baby hairs sprouy up in the temple area. I think I just may add in Tricomon in a few months instead of Min.

Why someone looking for regrowth would choose Tricomin over minoxidil is beyond me, but good luck.

And by the way, I have been battling hairloss and visiting these boards and others for TEN years. I think I can count on one hand how many people said Tricomin did something for them other than cool their scalp...and let's not forget it has menthol in it.

:dunno:

finasteride, Min, nizoral, Tri = Solid Regime

But when comes regrowth min is the player for that.
