Looking at estrogen as being either "good" or "bad" is the wrong way to approach the topic.

What is good for hair is a healthy balance of Estrogens and the correct types (E1, E2, E3) relative to your male hormones - Testosterone and DHT.

Too much total Estrogen is most definitely bad for men.
Too little total Estrogen is also bad.

Based on your question it sounds like you think more estrogen is "better". This is not the case - a healthy balance is best. Normally in men who have high estrogen - the male body automatically adjusts to this. The normal way it does this is by converting more Testosterone to DHT. It creates more of the stronger malculine hormone to combat the feminizing effects of estrogen and keep you looking like a man. If you look at their hormone profile you will see high estrogen - relatively lower T - and relatively higher DHT. This is a very bad combination for hair loss. It can eventually result in a condition called "estrogen dominance" one of the side effects of which is accelerated hair loss. Google it you'll find numerous papers on it.
