There's the ongoing debate as to whether or not you stop caring about your hair loss so much at a certain age. I know most of us here are in our 20's and 30's, there are some dudes younger than 20, and at least a few in their 40's. Any posters on here in their 50's or older? Just curious...

I'm not 50+ but as a 37 year old guy who has suffered emotionally from hair loss it does annoy me a bit when people say you stop caring about hair loss when you get to 30, 40, 50 ect. Or that hair loss isn't as bad for an "older" guy. It doesn't matter what age you are, it can still destroy your confidence.

I'm 53 (years young), and I would think females of any age never, ever stop caring about their hair. They may neglect everything else (and shame on them if they do), but as someone who is meticulous with her appearance--as much as I can be--hair loss has been by far the worst thing about middle age. But you asked about older men: My husband is 60, quite thin on top and has recently started using minoxidil, which he should've done five years ago. He still brisk walks and works out, and I'm sure he's going to care about his hair and physique through his 60s and beyond. On another note, my older son started balding when he turned 18 and hopped on finasteride six months later. He's 21 now, but he's still thinning diffusely.

Most 50+ stop caring and have accepted the fact that they are thinning, going bald, settled down and are just living there lives

Small minority obsess like us 20, and 30 year olds

Except that a growing portion of these 50+ years old men go through divorces and would not want to die alone and look for company (of same age women, not teens) and being bald STILL matters.

Then of course there are older men who exaggerate a bit but that is another matter (https://www.gourmetstylewellness.com/intera...steride-total-panic.99078/page-2#post-1338756)

Maybe in a month I can point you to a trial that I've been involved with, need to check with doctor first . It should help, it has for me.

That'd be great, thanks, especially if it would benefit my son.
