I have early stages of male pattern baldness and debating whether to start finasteride, but I moderate acne and want to start on accutane. Thing is accutane can speed up male pattern baldness so i heard.. and not sure which to start first or if to start togetheer? anyone with experience on this?

Moderate acne and you want to take accutane? I thought accutane was for severe cystic acne.

well i get a few cysts and pigmentation from the acne.. so accutane will help to eliminate all this. Just want to know if any went on both.

You can use both. They are for totally different conditions that just happen to both be cosmetic. Accutane won't accelerate male pattern baldness to the best of my knowledge. It can lead to some diffuse thinning however.

My biggest recommendation for accutane is to do a low dosage course. It's been proven that the main thing that matters in terms of effectiveness is cumulative dose. Your side effects are far more tolerable at a lower dose and you'll enjoy the same benefits. So, for example, it would be far better to do 20mg once a day for a year than to do 40 mg once a day for six months.

This happens too often and my paranoia-meter is going off.

A person registers. Has no posting history. 1 post. And they want a list of generic finasteride providers.

Going to make it a policy going-forward that this stops. Its happening way too often.

I realize there's a chance that a new member wants to know a list of generics web sites, but I also realize that the trend is too frequent and therefore suspicious.

Definitely use both. I started finasteride a month before accutane. The finasteride might even help combat the temporary hair loss that some people experience while on accutane. I had an increase in shedding, but no visual increase in hair loss.

strange to argue acne is only cosmetic. it can result in bleeding and pain on the affected area. it is definitely more than cosmetic.
