@21. I had sholder lenght hair and I was in a punk rock band. haha. I remember being extremly anxious first couple of days.. but then I get used to it- so did people around me. But still, this one a**h** pointed that I "will be bald".. there is always some a**h**.. And guees what- I still have a decent amount of hair on my head.

You dont have to shave it.. just cut it short. Its better to do it now in case it gets worse.

I wanna shave my head before I die... its one of the things thats on my bucket list. Just for the hell of it. Who knows, maybe I've got a nicely shaped head and the shaved head look MAY work for me... lol, who am I kidding, it probably wont.

Good luck.

I want to shave my head too but I have a lumpy scar on the top from when I was a kid I need to get removed... I think it'll be a freeing experience though. Less hassle and I doubt it will look much worse than my hair does right now ahaha

I never shaved my head with a razor, but went from having about 4 inches of hair on the top to buzzing it with a #3 clipper. It changed my look completely, at least in my eyes. I am one of those guys that looks much better with hair. I have been doing it for years so now I am just used to how I look and accept it. If you do decide to go short, I would go the clipper route instead of using a razor. Who knows you might actually look good? One positive is that at least you don't have to waste time styling it anymore.

I started bic'ing my head a year ago. It was hard to get used to. I still wear hats when I go out.

ive been told by girls that's im handsome even tho I completly bic my head but I lost my hair in the back and still have a hairline so I guess the shadow makes it look like I still have hair.

When my hair grows out I deft got the horseshoe in the back. I'd say just shave your head. I've seen a few young pale white guys completly bic'ed and I didn't think anything of it. It so common these days.

It was a surreal experience. I'd had short haircuts but never a bald head.

I remember one fateful day 2 years ago when after several years of itching and hair loss, I decided to take the razor to my head. I was just tired of the fear of seeing each precious strand prematurely leave its' follicle. But I was somewhat nervous. What if my head looked strange? What would people's perceptions be?

I had a feeling it might help with the itching. Allow better absorption of the medications I was applying. So I cut my hair as short as possible, and then took the razor to it. A giant bald line right through the middle of my head. It looked ridiculous but I carried on.

A good hour later, after clumsily working around the ears and using a hand mirror for the back and neck... It was done. A new look and a burden lifted. I immediately checked it out with the same hand mirror to see what my head shape looked like... All those fears completely unfounded. Regularly shaped pale head with no funny bumps anywhere.

It's been two years on. I've successfully re-awoken enough follicles (I reckon) to have a good head of hair once more. But I keep shaving my head twice a week and have fully embraced the ritual. Those inhibitions disappear once you see the new neurotic-free you in the mirror. I'll be regrowing my hair back out soon, but the ease of waking up without bad hair days? That clean look? I'll definitely miss that.

Please don't fear the head-shaving process my friends. It's an experience worth embracing. Who knows, maybe one day you'll be in my position (with plenty follicles to spare once more) but end up loving a shaved head more than any of your other hair styles.

I say go for it, get a hat 1st, and see how it looks, maybe one of those winter wool hats since winter is here, I can't get my self to do it because I can't find a good whole in my working schedule lol, I guess it takes some courage to it and I am not quit there yet

Also if finasteride is causing you trouble, try cutting the 1 mg pill into halfs or even quarters and see how that goes, low dosages of finasteride work just as well for many people apparently, they make em in 1 mg so they guarantee it will work

My head has an odd shape and a lot of funny bumps, my hair helps me even everything out, head shape, face and I am considered a handsome guy by the bitchez. When it is done I will lose everything that is considered attractive in me. But I already decided I will shave it off no matter how ugly I look.

I'd just have a short haircut, like really short or buzzcut.
It doesn't have to be clean shaven.

Longer hair always look terrible on me and it only gets worse, you'd think I was a NW1 with extremely short hair.
Don't take offence to this anyone, but I ****ing hate the wind blowing through my hair and having a god damn fringe is the worst.
My hair is awful anyway, it's never been good. Always thin and horrible, it's the reason. why I've been so hesitant to even try and save my hair....

This is one of the best feelings in the world to me at the moment. When you have been a Norwood 3½V with lots of diffuse thinning, no fringe, no hair to speak of that you can grow past the 1cm mark without it looking thin and sh1t, it feels incredible when you have bounced back well enough with the medications to actually feel and see your hair. I don't even care that the wind makes my hair messy, I don't care about bad hair days in the most used sense of the word - I fvcking have hair and that in itself is a super nice feeling that gives me this sense of safety and a confidence boost.

You've been balding for a while now right? I'm surprised it hasn't gotten worse if you don't take finasteride. But beware the chances that once it starts getting aggressive it gets out of control. Do you have photos?
I'm not sure if you're responding to me but I've only been balding for just over a year. I think it started a couple months before I turned 19. I didn't notice at the time because my hair was quite long, one thing I did notice was how bad I was shedding; then boom NW2.Its been a little over a year now, I think I've experienced only slight recession since then, now on finpecia.
No mature hairline BS just slow nonaggressive hair loss.

I already took around 0.3mg doses, it's been two weeks and I still feel mild chest pains every now and then
probably all in your head tbh

i take .25 of finasteride daily

for last 2 months only thing i noticed is slight sexual side effects, either my erections r hard as a rock, or its soft at first and i have a slighty harder time getting up but nothing that major compared to pre-finasteride, i probably should do some cardio and fapp less tbh

i feel bad for u guys having to shave ur heads, im NW2 and i hope i can fight it off as long as i can, fuk shaving our heads

i got a fuked up lookin nose n smaller jaw , me wiht a shaved head would look gay as fuk unless i grow a crazy beard out
