I'm sorry I don't have any info for you. One of two ISHRS coalition surgeons is Dr. DeYarman in La Jolla, CA. Did you check him out? I had a consult with him... nice guy, good rep, beautiful daughter! (his office manager)
thanks midiman. i've heard some really good stuff about him so i feel pretty comfortable going with him.hows your implants doing? by the looks of your pic, it appears we have about the same class. hope they all grow in for ya. keep me posted on your progress. very curious to know how it all turns out for you.
Where did you hear good things about this doctor? I hate to throw a wrench in your plans but some of those before & after pics look a little unnatural. Sorry... just my 2 cents
why do you assume that dr garbutt isn't any good? i got my procedure done today and i feel he did an otstanding job and his staff was awesome. they did everything to make me confortable and made me feel like i was the most important patient. the reason the pics don't look that great on the web is because they were first procedures and when you do your first procedure, they can only plant so many folicules per centimeter. they have second and third procedures in their office and they came out great. anyway, i give 2 thumbs up to dr garbutt and his staff.
Good for you! Glad to hear you had a nice experience. Do you have any pics by chance? Can you submit some more pics when things grow out? Happy growth to you! :hairy: Keep us in the loop.
i'll work on the pics. the procedure itself went very well, the night of the procedure is a different story. man the back of my head hurts like hell! thank god for pain meds. anyway, i'm pretty happen so far even being just 1 day post op. i went in to get 2000 grafts and the doctor would only do 1500 due to the density per cm2. amazing! a dr who turns down $. i feel he is a very honest dr and will go back in a few years to gain more density. the best he could do for me was 40 cm2.
hi jodi, i am very happy with dr garbutt thus far. it's only 10 days post op and the scabs are starting to fall off and most of the hairs are still in place and appear to be growing. i finaly cut the rest of my hair down to a #4 and the transplated area is probably at a 2 so it doesn't look to bad. kinda blends in and the donar scar is still hidden. i must say that the most painfull part of the whole thing is trying to sleep on the donar. it's nearly impossible to get comfortable. but as far as the actual procedure, there was very little pain and the Doctor and staff were great. at first i didn't care for the shape of my new hairline but now that the swelling has gone away, i really like it. i highly recomend dr garbutt and his staff. take a chance and go for it. i did and i'm happy with the results so far. good luck to you.
