Anyone using Nioxin?

A friend of mine who is a doctor (not a derm), suggested I try it out. On the back of the bottle it states "Gently cleanses away toxins, residue and DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) while volumizing the hair."

It's kind of expensive ($19.00 for 25.4fl oz). I've only been on Propecia and Nizoral for about 3 weeks now. I just picked up some Nioxin. I'm going to start using it every day that I don't use the Nizoral. I've noticed a drastic decrease in shedding so far. I hope this helps it to continue the postive effects.

I used to use it all the time... i noticed a decease in shedding aswell, not any regrowth.

I used it for like 4 or 5 months and it didnt really do anything to be honest, the shampoo and conditioner were good, I read a guy who said while it did not really have benefit of regrowing hair he continued to buy it because he swore that it helped the absorption of his minoxidil.

My 59 yo Mother swears by it. She uses minoxidil along with it, along with Hair, Nail,and skin vitamins and is seeing significant regrowth. She's a diffuse thinner.

yeh, i use this sh*t, it is really really expansive, it will not help you at all with your hair loss situation though
