Which would you recommend he use?
I'm not at liberty to say, I'm not allowed to recommend non FDA approved treatments. However what I would start with personally would be spironolactone and then Cyproterone Acetate if it doesn't work out.

Well if retrograde is known to be aggressive I certainly don't have that. I was convinced I did, I'm literally dealing with frontal loss & it's a demon.
Retrograde usually is most obvious at the nape to begin with.

I believe he has retrograde as well. It’s well known that retrograde is incredibly aggressive. Sadly I don’t know if there’s such a thing as treatment for it. I haven’t met anyone yet with retrograde who’s had any success.

Didn't even know about 'retrograde' alopecia. That must be one of the reasons why finasteride and RU didn't work and why seti doesn't seem to be working for me. I'm still trying desperately find something that will at least slow down and reduce the massive shedding but at this point the best route is probably to give up, shave head and get scalp micropigmentation. Guys one questions to the whole topic. Assuming a Guy is going the extreme was and Turn from nw5 to nw2, is finishing after 1 or 2 years and keeping Finasterid.
Is it possible that He stays Something Like a nw3?

I Heard that trow the upcycling it could end worser es What you Started with

Unlikely, i think you would fall back towards baseline but finasteride would prolong the process to an extent and eventually halt you somewhere but i would doubt it would keep you at that point you gained back at all.

Dudes in their early 20's taking oral estrogen and sh*t don't realise how much they are f*****g their hormones up its ridiculous. When they're 40 (which in todays standards is still young as f***) they'll be very very sorry when they're emotional wrecks and having sex is like playing pool with a rope.

Retrograde seems almost untreatable to be honest.

I could have guessed that based on how no treatment was able to help me. Oh well, time for me to...

I feel the same way. Oral minoxidil did help a little,But it’s still been a downhill trip from me since this sh*t all started.

So oral minoxidil was more effective than topical? How many mgs. did you take/day? I'm assuming the side effects were probably more harsh with the oral version?

I was 21 when I started losing my hair. It seems like the younger you are, the more aggressive it is. I’m so sorry that you aren’t dealing with this.

Is your hairline receding at all? I’ll show you some examples

of what retrograde looks like. You can see the the hair is receding away behind the ears, on the side of the face, the nape - everywhere. I have this but I also have diffuse thinning with female pattern hairloss on the top.

Well it’s hard to say because I started using both of them around the same time. I use 2.5mg daily. I have facial bloating and bad skin and side effects. It also makes me shed more constantly, and I have synchronised growth and loss because of it too

my hairline is almost Norwood FOUR not 2.
but i have the SAME pattern that one you post. When i finish my work i will take some photos. My hair on the side VERY thin, hair on back VERY thin. Top.. not affected that much.
in the last 3 months im losing 300 hairs everyday from top.. so i think soon i will be in big trouble then. How much hair is normal to shed per day?

Dude seriously if you're going to do this see an endocrinologist or something who can take bloodwork and monitor you. You are going to regret this when you're older.

Of course it is a risky road. But i just want to regrow some hair and maintain until, i dont know, 2020, when a functional cure will probably be available.

To the people who say that their T is lower than females and they are taking estrogen and a DHT blocker but are still balding did you ever wonder if it is not androgens that are causing your hair loss...
