Anyone with experience with "Actavis" Finasteride?

Hey guys.

My doctor in Denmark subscribed me 5mg finasteride from "Actavis". Does anyone here have experience with them? I guess I'm a bit paranoid for it's effectiveness being a totally 'new' brand.

In principle all you have to know is that it's finasteride.However, to relieve your paranoia you can request any brand with 5mg at your pharmacy. There is no particular reason that you have to buy this brand. So basically the prescription is for 5mg finasteride, not for a particular brand. You can freely choose the brand (that is if you insist, if you understand what I mean).

Yeah, I know. But I hadn't heard of any of the brands, so Actavis might aswell be the one for me to choose. But as long as it says finasteride I should be fine, I guess then.

Do you guys know the psychological feeling that a quarter pill (1,25 mg) isn't enough compared to the whole pill containing 1 mg? I know it sounds weird, but taking a quarter pill seems so less to take..

Looks like it has Food & Drug Administration approved in the US. Though it maybe considered generic finasteride I think it is effective than those expensive brand name you can find in the market today.
