Not really new but I prefer Dutasteride over Finasteride. Studies show it producera superior results with comparable sides. dutasteride + Nizoral is a great combo. Minoxidil is great too if you are willing to commit to the hassle.

Ive started to see people go on a very hardcore regimen, Dutasteride.5mg, 5-10mg oral minoxidil, 200mg oral spironolactone. Apparently for most if not all it kills male pattern baldness and leaves room for some good regrowth. But the spironolactone can have risky side effects. Other than that, dermarolling has yielded good results for people. The last most desperate option would be messing with estrogen. But if you aren't trying to transition into a woman. Stay clear of that stuff.

I would say the "newest" thing (not really new actually) is microneedling. It seems to be legit and even though it's a hassle when you actually do it, only having to do it twice a month is worth it.

iron is important in hair growth, but you should be getting plenty with a normal diet. Too much iron can be bad. One thing I would recommend is getting a derma pen or derma stamp and toss the dermaroller. Derminator mahcine would be the best, but it's an expensive investment. Dermarolling scrapes and digs too much.
