I recently brought the 5% spironolactone cream (S5) however I find it very difficult to apply because I have diffuse hairloss all over top. A lot of times i doubt the cream reaches my scalp and it just remains stuck on the hair when i apply it with my finger tips. I have 3-4 inches long hair. Now, I apply some herbal hair oils every day. (coconut, Rosemary mixtures). One way I could try the application is to mix up the spironolactone 5% cream into the oil and apply it with a cotton or finger tips. the liquidy nature of the oils makes it able to reach the scalp easier. I wonder if mixing the spironolactone cream with the oils with harm in anyway or make things less effective ??

In other words, would the oils be a good carrier vehicle for better absorption of the 5% spironolactone cream topically ? Appreciate your opinion.

The best way I've found to apply the cream onto my diffuse thinning scalp is using a little dropper. Load it slowly to prevent the air from getting inside and then drop tiny balls of cream directly on your scalp. Then spread it out either with your fingers or using something thinner like an ear stick.

It's tedious and messy anyway but I would not mix the cream with oils or whatever because it would decrease its consistency and that might affect the results (or maybe not, but why take a chance?).

Just my personal opinion :)
