Hello,
lately i noticed that my hairline around the temples has moved back. I went to the doctor and she prescribed biotin supplement and Alpicort F ( 3 times a week after shampoo).

My hair is thick and people tell me its just in my head but i think my temples are receding a little. My father's hairline is the same and he is over 50. Should i buy rogaine liquid and use it only on my hairline?

I am 24 years old.

I would wait for input from more experienced members than me, but right now I would say that you are experiencing hairline recession, looks like you have the "island" forming to me.

Rogaine and finasteride are basically just for maintaining your hair and filling in thin spots. I'm sorry to say that they will not restore recession.

Your hairline looks fucked tbh. With that being said, do you have older pics of yourself? If it's been like that for the majority of your life, then you're unlikely to be suffering from male pattern baldness.

Definite frontal hair loss in my opinion. It is almost certainly male-pattern baldness. You do mention that your dad's hairline is the same as yours is now. If you take after your dad hair-wise then maybe you will be lucky and your hair loss will not progress much further than it has. On the other hand, the worst case scenario is you could be completely bald in 5 years if left untreated. Is there hair loss on your mom's side?

Rogaine and Finasteride/Dutasteride have restored a lot of my frontal loss. I've gained at least half a Norwood from these treatments, and have had a lot of thickening. I think that some fortunate guys such as myself can get a lot of frontal regrowth from these treatments, though probably not the majority of users.

To be honest pictures got a little streched when I cut them and look a lot worse than irl ,but thanks for the opinions. I will definetly go get a second doctors opinion.

Your hairline is pretty receded, but your density is still fine.

The recession is about 1.5 to 2 cm from my original hairline and my widows peak is right above my forehead wrinkle. As I said pictures got a little streched (cough...frontal one ). Dont know if thats of any use to determine recession or not (7.5 cm from my eyebrow - my head is oval shape).

It would help if you could provide photos where your hairline is not stretched as you say. It is hard to guess how your hair loss will progress, but seeing as your dad still has most of his hair then maybe you won't lose much more. Is there hair loss among the males on your mom's side of the family?

Yeah receding. A good diet will help you. Search for diet options
Diet makes very little difference to genetic hair loss. It is a genetic condition that needs to be treated with powerful synthetic drugs specifically formulated for their purpose.

Pics are from a week ago (actually from my other thread which got posted in the wrong section and didnt get many replies) when i had longer hair. My widows peak didnt move back just the temples with about 1.5 to 2 cm from my kid hairline. I know it looks horrible from the top view.

I was going for an undercut but i dont know if it will look good with such a hairline. My face is slim and long.

You definitely have recession. I think you should make an appointment with a dermatologist to have it confirmed that you have male pattern baldness, and then look into getting it treated. At this point in time, the only treatments we have available that really do work well are 5-ar inhibitors, namely finasteride and dutasteride.

Norwood 4, with no crown thinning?. Also appear to be experience some diffuse thinning. Your density is fucked up behind the forelock.

Are you for real? I may be overreacting to my hairline but its not nw4. First pictures are buzzcuts and my hair tends to stand up and the lighting is not right. I havent noticed any change in density, only that my corners moved 1.5 to 2 cm back. Maybe im not that good at taking pictures (wonder why I look so crooken in selfies). Thanks all for your replies.
