Are The Flakes And Itchiness From Minoxidil Caused By Pg Or Alcohol?

From normal liquid minoxidil I get terrible itchiness and flakes(and the foam is too expensive here), so I thought about buying a non-PG version but I'm not sure that PG is the cause of my problems.


So what is causing the flakiness? The PG or the Alcohol?

I think its the PG. I use alfatradiol, which has alcohol, but it have never caused any flakes.

Likely the pg as I had the same problem. The old 5% liquid version tore my scalp apart in the early 2000s. More than a decade later I tried ths Foam and didnt get irritations..
