okay, i'm considering getting a transplant in december of this year with armani. but i'd like to hear some feedback on this. so far, the consensus is that he is good but too aggressive on the hariline. With me, it would hard for him to be too aggressive because i'm about a norwood 1.5. but overall, do his pictures on his website accurately reflect his results?? if so, why doesn't everyone in the world go to him? is it the money? thanks for anyone who can help.

more balding guys should. Hell, if 18 year old girls can go in to have the nose fixed, eyebrows lifted, and chin implants all at the same time, a guy should certainly get his hair fixed. Im kind of pissed at how easy some women have it to get procedures done.

Until recently it was considered "feminine" or "a bit gay" for a bloke to care about his appearance, yet Hollywood and the media constantly show us images of "pretty boys" running around all over the place, blowing stuff up, killing the bad guy and getting the girl.

Fortunately, there is far less stigma these days, though we still have a long way to go before it's something people can be totally open with.

I live in a city in California and loathe it while you may, there is a number one rule among my parents' social circle as to what to do with cosmetic surgery and it makes sense.

Always start having procedures done, if this is the route you want to go, EARLY. This way, no one will ever know 100% whether or not you are having work done. You will simply be the guy/girl who always looks good, aged gracefully, and somehow pulled off going from your early 30s to your late 50s with barely any noticable change.

You can thank a dinner party conversation for that. Twisted as this state is about appearance, if you are going to play this game, it makes absolute sense to play by this rule.

i think i am going to armani too or at least the LA office, not sure if he will be doing the procedure. i am 23 with receding hairline and maybe a little thinning. i have a great paying job and money is not an issue. i just want to do it secretly because if you achieve a great head of hair and everyone knows you had work done you will always be the guy that got work done on his hair. if i do get it i will do before and after pics for everyone

Just a heads up, but Armani charges more for the procedure if you have it done in the US. It's worth the trip to Canada to save a few thousand.

i'll def be doing it in toronto, its only like a four hour drive for me :) I'm really considering it, i figure, if i get one hair transplant now, then like maybe another in five years or so if HM haven't been perfected yet, i can just get another. I figure by the time my donor hair is used up HM WILL be out. (fingers crossing hard)

Trent, I'm probably a little younger than you, but I'm thinking of a similar plan of getting one or two hair transplants before they perfect HM. From what I've read about Armani, he seems to be the best choice. Keep us updated on your decision.

will do. if i had 10,000 in the bank i would do it today. but, right now i would have to ask the rents for the money... sucks that i won't be making money for another 2 years :-(

how old are you? i'm 24.

I'm 20. Yeah, the whole money factor is something I need to figure out. Hopefully I can guilt my parents into helping me pay for it. Are you thinking about a FUE or a strip?

FUE. i don't need much more hair, and i want to have the option of shaving it short buzz cut.

from what i've heard he has some new FUE techniques that are really working well for him.

July 18th, I'm having FUSS done with Armani. I'll let you all know the results and how it goes. Getting 3000 grafts.

why FUSS? is it do to the fact that you want to pack it in for the least amount of money? or do you think it turns out better? cause with FUE you don't get that scar, but i think you have to have a partially shaved head for a time. what's your reasons?

yeah, keep us updated on how things go. i thought fue makes things look more natural because the do it 1 hair at a time.

They do both FUSS and FUE in groupings of 1 hair at a time and everyone of the results on his page are all FUSS.

Yea Trent, packing as much in as I can for 12,000 dollars. I figure I do that, then just start saving for the small work I'll need to do afterwards to maintain. Every procedure after this one, I'll do with FUE to keep up on the hairloss as it progress. I'll continue with that until HM comes out. If it never does, then at the least I'll be balding from the back and not the front. The front is what makes you look young.

damn, i dont get it. so why is it so much more expensive for fue over the strip procedure? a tiny scar in the back of the head is worth it to me if i am going to save all that money

It's so much more expensive for FUE because of the time involved. In FUE they have to remove, one by one, the hairs the transplant. In FUSS, they remove the strip, have technicians dissect it while the doctor makes recipient sites and then takes the dissected hair and places it. Much faster of a removal process, hence they can do so much more.

So that means you'll have a scar. They are removing a strip... hence leaving a scar. :freaked:
